  1. Pat Tabler almost willed that liner to drop for a 2-run single.
  2. Some highlights I clipped prior to making this thread that are worth watching: The Chicago Cubs broadcast explains how the Marquee Sports broadcast strike zone is set (super interesting info here) Cody Bellinger, Gavin Lux and Austin Barnes hit three straight home runs Yankees commentators and fans hilariously react to a long fly ball by Giancarlo Stanton Vladdy and Bo hug in the dugout Sportsnet's hilarious Flow Bichette bobblehead commcercial Yusei Kikuchi's gold glove performance: 5 great defensive plays And I'm sure everyone here has seen these already but either way: Vladdy's first homer of the day (vs. Cole) Vladdy's second homer of the day (vs. Cole) Vladdy's third homer of the day (vs. Loaisiga) Vladdy seals his excellent game by grabbing a 108 MPH Josh Donaldson line drive.
  3. Santiago Español my fav blue jey.
  4. Glad to know people will be using this! Unfortunately the main limitation here is that I only record so many clips so please feel free to drop your own links in here if you guys find stuff on YouTube or elsewhere. And of course, if you have any clip requests of things that happened in any recent baseball game, just let me know in here and I can go back and record them. I can clip anything from MLB.TV's catalog and whatever recent recordings they have on Sportsnet Now.
  5. Clips from April 23, 2022: Miguel Cabrera goes to the opposite field to get hit #3000 in the first inning against the Colorado Rockies Complete celebration ceremony for Miguel Cabrera's 3,000th hit Minutes after living legend Miguel Cabrera gets his 3,000th hit, young gun Spencer Torkelson knocks a homer out to right to drive him in Yankees fans pelt Guardians players with garbage, Yankees players run out and ask them to stop Santiago Espinal hits another big home run for the Blue Jays to go ahead 3-2 against the Astros in the top of the 7th Vladdy and the Blue Jays are all smiles after Jr. gloves a scorched liner to end the game for a second time in two weeks Bobby Dalbec ends the Tampa Bay Rays no-hitter with a 10th inning go-ahead triple Off-Topic | Raptors Highlights: Big Daddy Thad Young drops Embiid with a dirty crossover and hits the sweet mid-range jumper Scottie Barnes appears to tweak his injured ankle, walks off the floor. Reporters later confirm Barnes will stay in the game. Embiid with a weird bear-hug foul on Pascal Siakam Precious Achiuwa puts the Raptors up 14 with less than two minutes remaining
  6. Also, funnily enough, Tatis is a better defender than the numbers showed him as through last season. With the FanGraphs defense update, he jumped from #10 in the league to #1 in the league for 2021 fWAR.
  7. Semien might actually not even be as good of a defender as we thought. FanGraphs upgraded their defensive metrics with more Statcast input and Semien lost 3.5 defensive WAR across the last five seasons.
  8. Clips from April 22, 2022: Espinal and Zimmer go back-to-back off Verlander to tie the game. Also, Michael Brantley randomly eats s*** in the outfield. Matt Chapman comes up with a clutch go-ahead RBI double in the top of the 9th, Vladdy goes 1st to home on the play Jordan Romano and Alejandro Kirk get PUMPED after a disgusting high heater gets the debuting J.J. Matijevic to end the game. Romano picks up his MLB-leading 8th save of the season.
  9. Clips from April 21, 2022: Matt Chapman hits an RBI "single" with an xBA of .000 Jordan Romano keeps his franchise-record streak alive with a nail-biting save The Yankees intentionally walk Miggy (2,999 career hits) to load the bases in the bottom of the 8th Austin Meadows drives in two runs with a bloop hit after the Yankees intentionally load the bases
  10. With how many highlights I record for Reddit, I thought I might as well make a thread here where I can cross-post those clips in case anyone is interested in rewatching big plays. Since MLB.com highlights are often cut at inopportune times and don't always have replays, etc, people will often be able to find longer clips here via my Streamable. You can also use this thread to share GIFs, memes and Twitter clips, etc.
  11. Three hardest hit balls of the game so far.
  12. You are 100% right. This community is beneath you. You should go somewhere else immediately.
  13. Pitch clocks, shift bans, thicc bases and robo umps can't come soon enough. f*** the players for putting us through one last season of this when we could have just gotten past it by now.
  14. Or players are to blame. Could have easily agreed to robo-umps for this season. Owners wanted it, union shut it down.
  15. This makes me irrationally angry.
  16. This could be nothing, but the fact that everyone is pretending Springer is fine and just needs another day while his injury is suddenly being referred to as a "wrist injury" after it was only called a "forearm contusion" up until now is concerning to me. I hope that's just some weird inconsequential inconsistency in their phrasing or something because a wrist issue seems a lot more concerning than a booboo on your forearm.
  17. Gausman hadn't let a single batter get to 2nd base all day. The fact that they let him go out there at 87 pitches, indicating that they were okay with him throwing another inning, and then yanked him a pitch later just because he gave up a hit makes it seem like they really weren't comfortable with him at that pitch count and simply let him go out there to chase the Maddux milestone. And if that's the case, that's really bad management by the team. He can either throw another inning or he can't. If he can, let him stay in there because he's dealing. If he can't, don't send him back out there in the first place.
  18. Exciting update for the WAR nerds: https://blogs.fangraphs.com/a-fangraphs-war-fielding-update/ Semien lost 3.2 career fWAR from this change, hahaha. Didi lost 6.2. Nick Ahmed gained 6.8 WAR between 2016-2021.
