    I'm genuinely thankful that Biggio swung at that pitch. My blood pressure couldn't handle seeing that fat **** behind the plate call that a strike and end the inning that way.

    Talking out of my ass here but I think there's a 90% chance we see them next year, considering the owners wanted it for this year. Players quashed it but like I said, MLB can just implement any rule change they want next year with 45-day notice.

    Because the players didn't want to talk about rule changes in this CBA. MLB won unilateral implementation power for next season so robo umps, shift changes, bigger bases, etc, they're all coming.

    Even if the Yankees don't do well this year, I think they're going to f***ing mash next year. They make a ton of contact but are so prone to getting beat by the shift. Once that shift is gone, they're going to catch fire.

Someone else mentioned him and I tacked on a passive-aggressive chirp about it based on the last s***** discussion that was had about him. There's already been more complaining about the Greg Bird conversation in this thread than actual Greg Bird conversation.

    a) Greg Bird is a s*** player. I would prefer Greg Bird DH'ing on this team over Zack Collins. Both those things can be true. I would 1000% take Samad Taylor over both guys in a heartbeat but the team has not shown any indication so far that they give any sort of a s*** about Samad Taylor. They left him exposed in the Rule 5, gave him almost no exposure in spring training and reassigned him in the first wave of cuts. There are always more ideal options but we can only really talk about the ones that seem to have been realistically considered.

    Sons of former star major leaguers are not going to be as easy to lock up as people hope they'll be. Leafs fans are familiar with how annoying that process can be when the dads get involved.

    Might be an early-season thing but I'm disgustingly optimistic going into every game with this team. Lineup decisions could be better but I don't think they'll make or break anything. Hell, the lineup change I want the most is Vladdy in the 2-hole and that's clearly not going to happen.
