  1. As a mod of r/torontobluejays, I got a fun little nugget of news for y'all. We might be doing an AMA with Gosuke Katoh on the subreddit soon. So if you have any questions, it would be a great time to ask.
  2. Really want to see Taylor given a shot at the big league level. They're giving so many plate appearances to scrubs right now anyway that it's the most easily justifiable time to call him up.
  3. What a terrible time to pinch hit with Springer. So glad they didn't do it. What a bad decision that would have been.
  4. This lineup's current OPS ranks according to the stadium scoreboard: 1. Vladdy 1.190 2. Collins 1.167 3. Chapman .855 4. Espinal .704 5. Gurriel .687 6. Tapia .579 7. Bichette .525 8. Kirk .468 9. Zimmer 0
  5. And now Zack Collins has a .818 OPS, good for second best in this lineup. Early season sample sizes are fun.
  6. Even after that out, Tapia's got the fifth highest OPS in this lineup, lmao. This offense has been tragic.
  7. Yes. You can't bat him at DH because you gotta have Collins elite bat in there.
  8. Like, even if you're not woke enough to simply move Bichette and Vladdy up a spot in the lineup, how dare this organization have Espinal and not bat him leadoff if they needed to bat someone new leadoff today?
  9. lol Tapia leading off and Collins batting 6th with Ryu on the mound and Zimmer also playing. I'm going to the game. If they lose, my attendance win streak is over (which goes further back than the Doc vs. Burnett return game) and if they win this somehow, I'll be convinced that I'm actually magic.

  11. My live attendance win streak somehow continued through a Ross Stripling start where the lineup also featured appearances from Tapia, Collins, Biggio and Zimmer. Also going to tomorrow's game. Let's see if I can survive new Ryu.
  12. Game #8 Oakland Athletics (Jefferies) @ Toronto Blue Jays (Stripling) Schedule | Standings | FanGraphs | News | Video | Spotlight | Twitter | Reddit | Instagram
  13. The Blue Jays new Anti-Vaxer Hit List has claimed its first casualties:
  14. Because Max Silver quoted it right under my comment. And again, how much of a geek do you have to be to actively be seeking that out? Like, is that something you'd brag to your friends about? "I kept trying to provoke this guy who blocked me on a forum in the hopes that someone would quote my comment for him to see it and then it worked, haha got 'em, I'm such an alpha." I'm not really seeing what the end goal is and what you actually have to gain out of doing that, even when it "works."
  15. How much of a geek do you have to be to continue quote replying someone after you know they've blocked you? lmao.
  16. Holy f*** that was the worst baseball game I've ever watched. I'm not even mad at anyone. It was just a series of the most ridiculous, unlikely, ******** f***ing events stringing together in perfect chaos. Sweeping the hot A's and watching the Yankees get swept by the O's would be the ultimate cleanse. The universe needs to pull that off to make things right after tonight.
  17. You would think but then again, I'm sure years ago Red Sox fans felt the same way about keeping Betts and letting Bogaerts walk. You can't really do much if the player isn't willing to sign a reasonable deal or just wants to test the open market.
  18. Samad "No Love" Taylor smacking out a grand slam in today's Bisons game.
  19. Seven games into the season the Blue Jays are already about to see their third massive run swing on an umpire scorecard.
  20. The beauty of batting Vladdy #3 instead of #2 in this lineup. 9th inning last night: Vladdy is 4-4 and just needs a single person to get on base to get a chance at making history with his fourth home run of the night. The Jays go down 1-2-3 and the inning ends on a Bo Bichette ground out, Vladdy never comes to the plate. 2nd inning tonight: Bases loaded with a chance to break the game open against Severino. Bichette grounds out, Vladdy never comes to the plate. 7th inning tonight: Springer gets HBP, Yankees fans cheer. Blue Jays have a chance to make them pay and tie the game at the same time. Bichette grounds out, Vladdy never comes to the plate. 9th inning tonight: Bases loaded, chance to come back and win the most frustrating game of all time. Bichette caught out on a soft liner, Chapman TOOTBLAN, Vladdy never comes to the plate.
  21. Am I blind or did Bichette have eons to throw out Judge just now?
