  1. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that Ezequiel Carrera is by far the dumbest baseball player I've ever seen.
  2. Shi Davidi has no idea what's going on with this team either! When has Shi Davidi ever accurately reported a trade? Can you please give me a reference? Davidi is just as clueless about the Jays as any other "reporter". He was literally guessing how much payroll space the team had in the offseason. He might get some nice insider information after moves are made, but when the team hasn't said or done anything, he's sitting on the sidelines like the rest of us.
  3. Did you know she's the twin sister of the girl in your avatar? That's Beatrice Bouchard.
  4. Nobody on Blue Jays Central has any clue what the hell is going on with the team. Don't ever take anything they say as reliable information, they're just regurgitating what Sportsnet writers like Davidi and BNS have already written about, and it's often broken-telephone misinformation. Nobody ever reported that a deal for Carrasco was close. All we know is that AA allegedly asked the Indians about him, and that's utterly useless information, because it's safe to assume that AA has talked to every team about every notable player at this point.
  5. That's exactly what I thought, lol. This is the same thing as the Athletics last year, it doesn't really tell us anything about the playoffs. A trade brought Cueto into a start against the Jays, and a trade took Kazmir out of one. Not a real reason to complain. To be honest, I don't think so. The "second move" should be to promote Pompey. All they really need is one starting pitcher. I wouldn't mind another pen arm, but there's really no other holes on the roster. Sure, it would be nice if they could get two starting pitchers, but that would only make sense if they were going to replace Dickey in the rotation, and we all know they'll never do that. Beyond that, there isn't really a dire need to replace Estrada, he's a good #5.

  8. If there's any truth to what that guy said on reddit, and the Jays do end up dealing for Hamels in the end, I'm going to be pissed off at Hamels for holding out for so long. If the same deal could have been struck months ago and they'd just been waiting on him, it would really f***ing suck to find that out.
  9. My response to one of his comments: "I'm not going to say whether or not I believe you because it's irrelevant, but if true, why did your source tell you all of these things? His response: "It's not as if someone pulled me aside to specifically tell me about the Jays. I know someone that has access to information. I've been privy to insider information via late night hotel bar conversations for a couple years. All of this info is known amongst the teams involved. I'm not saying anything people don't know I just have have access to one of those people. The only player I can't give detailed information on is Cueto. I know Hoffman is being demanded but the Jays won't trade him for anything short of Price on a 5 year deal. Even then only if AA absolutely has to include Hoffman. AA has had serious discussions about Cueto and have made "significant" offers but I don't know who was offered. The Cueto rumours are odd. I'll explain why. The Jays orchestrated a media leak. In fact, they've been intentionally leaking Cuetos name for awhile. Now, the reason that's odd is because media have a lot of info they are not allowed to go on the record with. Nobody knows what's really going on with Cueto. The general outline of promising deals are usually known unless management believes the general outline will be criticized by said media. With that knowledge in addition to a belief in the Blue Jays organization that Cueto WILL NOT sign in Toronto I have no idea what's going on there. My buddy (source I guess)works for the Jays and he has no clue what's really going on with Cueto. He tells me how they operate and kinda shows off that he's privy to this stuff so he doesn't really mind if I do the same as long as it's not too significant."
  10. Follow up post (highlighted response): http://i.gyazo.com/ed5a49bbb0800741de3b6df2dc240121.png Just for shits and giggles, what do people think about the trade scenario he outlined? I probably make the deal for Norris, Jimenez, Pentecost and Urena (I'm one of the few people that actually really likes the Hamels contract), and reject the one that involves both Norris and Pompey going the other way. Although, moving Norris probably bites you in the ass very quickly.
  11. Garbage source, and there's absolutely no reason to believe this guy, but a random reddit commenter (/u/KNOWSaBJinsider) is pretending that he knows what's going on. He claims the Jays priorities right now are as follows: (1) David Price, (2) Phillies deal, (3) Controllable mid-rotation starters, and then "big $ SP this summer" (I assume he means winter). He says that they haven't worked much on a Price trade, but if there was even a remote chance that he was available, AA would "open up the farm" He also claims that the Jays have worked on a deal where they'd receive Hamels, Papelbon and 30-35M in exchange for Norris, Jimenez, and either Pompey+Borucki or Pentecost+Urena. He claims that there's an alternative, less likely package they could send the Phillies, which would involve an outfielder on the MLB roster that isn't Bautista, but would have fewer prospects involved (assuming he's talking about Pillar). He says that this trade has been in a "holding pattern for several months", because it's contingent on a player accepting the deal (assuming he's talking about Hamels). Also this summer (winter), he claims the Jays are going to "make EE an offer", and if he rejects, they'll trade him. He says Bautista is "going nowhere", and he adds that Buehrle and Dickey won't be with the team in 2016. The last thing he says is that Navarro is being traded at the deadline. There are "multiple deals in place", and which deal AA accepts is based on what they achieve with their main priorities. There's probably a 99% chance that this guy is full of s***. That said, he actually seems pretty stupid, while the claims he makes fall very tightly in line with things we've heard throughout the season. He'd have had to follow the team and the trade rumors pretty closely (which is probably what he did). Still, on the microscopic chance that this guy is related to somebody who works for the Jays, and that somebody felt it was a good idea to tell him everything that was going on with the team, I felt obligated to share it with you guys.
  12. Yeah, apparently it was so close to being done, that the Reds were already warming up Lorenzen to take his start. Cueto was f***ing pissed.
  13. Even though I hated the Loviste social media campaign, and I very much enjoy our players celebrating with a crack reference instead, Loviste was far less excessive than the stir-it-up thing they're doing this year.

  15. What the hell are you talking about?
  16. I don't know, but I wouldn't pursue a trade for Carrasco. He's a brilliant arm, but there's probably no way you walk away from that deal and feel good about what you gave up. The best you can probably do is give them fair value, and fair value for Carrasco is too big of a price for me to be comfortable with in a trade for a pitcher. I'd go after somebody like Tyson Ross of the Padres.
  17. Indians never agree to that deal (unless they're incredibly stupid).

  19. Yeah, and he's sucked in his rehab stints so far. You hope that they ease him into it, but there's a good chance that they throw him back into the fire. Osuna's first career appearance was with the bases juiced and A-Rod at the plate, in an away game at Yankee Stadium.
  20. And that's my point. He's a reliever, with 0.9 fWAR in 184 career innings. He had a replacement-level season in 2012, a great season the year after, and an abysmal season the year after that. At the very best, his track record is of "some importance", and it's barely a footnote at that. It's not of so much importance that his demotion warrants your rage and a "what the f***" by three different people on the first page of this thread. Again, "absolutely atrocious"? Some of you have a very unhealthy approach to this game.
