I'm surprised he's alive, let alone be able to play this week. The guy took a 94mph heater in the ribs, talk about pain.

Very interesting, a max of 5 pitches per PA. It probably gives the edge to the pitchers though, that game ended 1-0. If you have a tough pitcher on the mound, you can't extend the at bat in the hope to get him out of the game by the 7th inning because of a high pitch count.

The close up on O'Day is also funny, he was smiling like "i can't believe he got me again".

He looks just fine to me right now. He's also having some bad luck from BAPIP which leads me to believe he will be ok.

Even though it "worked out" it's pretty clear that Navarro cost MB quite a few strikes.

Of course not but it sure felt like it. I was just fine with this bullpen knowing Loup and Cecil are the same they were last year, if they are the same as in those 3 games, we are screwed.

It's not that, it's the fact that if we didn't have Castro and Osuna in those 3 games, instead of a 2-1 record it would have been 0-3 record. That's a big red flag in my opinion.

It's not that bad to be honest, we are 1 piece away from being good. It just that now Loup and Cecil are struggling and everything falls on Osuna and Castro.

My point is, we have too many long relivers and too little guys for meaningful innings. We essentially have 2 rookies as our high leverage guys and 2 of the better bullpen arms from a season ago as not being ready to pitch. So you essentially relay on the 2 rookies and Hynes to get the job done.

Right now we have 3 meh/long relivers in Hendricks, Redmond and Estrada. That worries me.

I hate to say it but 3 long relievers is a bad idea, we need someone like Papelbon.

Maybe Lawrie is missing Bautista to tell him what pitchers are going to do against him.

As soon as the hitters found out he doesn't throw any fastballs high they just didn't bite on anything low and it was game over.

The patio is nice but when it's a packed house, it's crazy over there. If i were you i'd probably come as early as they open the gate, i love taking in the view of the dome from inside.

I agree, i also watched the ESPN feed and it was very balanced. Almost felt like a Blue Jays feed without Buck.
