    Yup, that's a good way of putting it. And sorry for lip sticking our own players, i tend to want them to succeed and i may be biased cause of it. Happens.

    You weren't going to get a CY Young starter with ~4 years of control for nothing. Would you make the same argument if Syndergaard suddenly became John Stilson? Besides, it wasn't much of an analysis, all i was trying to say at the time was that when JPA sucked on defense, his offense was ok and when he sucked on offense, his defense was ok. If you put those two together, it tells you that either he will figure it out or he won't and fail bad. Sadly, he failed.

    For sure, but to say he's worth more than Bautista is a stretch, to say the least. Doesn't mean that he's not going to be up there, but a lot of water needs to run through the river before someone can claim something like that.
