    It's about leverage situations. Last night when they let that rookie pitch, we had a ~97.4% of winning, so adding 5 runs did almost zero towards WAR.

    I would take him on league minimum (and Mets cover the rest) but i guess most teams would do the same.

    I understand your logic but just as an example, Delabar was lights out for about 2 years and i been scared to have my eyes open when he pitches this season. Pen arms are very volatile, you want to have both good numbers but almost just as important is having a hot hand.

    Not sure about thousand times but we do need a top reliever and we could probably use an ace in the rotation. Options in the trade market aren't that great right now, it's either Phillies or you gotta be creative.
