Not sure how LaCava or anyone in his position can be ok with something like that, unless he gets paid through the nose, in which case it doesn't really matter.
Bautista played hurt most of the year, not sure it's wise to put that much stock into his 2015 defensive metrics. It's actually impressive to see his offensive numbers even when he was hurt.
Haha.
I bet you $1,000 that Sean Hannity will mop the floor with you in a head to head debate match up.
That's without knowing anything about you so I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt. If I did know you better, there's a good chance I'd be betting much more than $1,000.
I honestly don't get it. We had him in the rotation, he wasn't that great, we let him go, he was "ok" in that big Oakland park so now we assume he's much better than before?
I know what I have in Hendricks, no clue what I got in Chavez.
Why would we want Freeman though?
Colabello gives you 140wRC+ which is fairly close to Freeman. Freeman is a bit better on defense at 1B.
Then we have Edwin which is kinda similar.
Only difference is that Freeman is only 26yo.
With limited payroll scenario, the extra money you pay Simmons means you can't have someone like Bautista on the team.
Goins + Bautista >> Simmons + Carrera
Chapman has only 1 year left though.
Osuna had 1.3 WAR in 69 innings and Kimbrel had 1.5 WAR in 59 innings. Quite a price to pay for a marginal difference between the two.
He seems to be great off the field too, not sure they would jump to trade him.
Besides, unless Travis is up to the task, you don't have a leadoff hitter if you trade him.
The downside is the money he's about to make but it seems fair to what you get back.
Baltimore fans claim that every hitter that plays for the Jays becomes much better than when he plays for others, by their logic, he's going to hit 60+ HRs and O's Hangout fans are going to cry.
