Drew line drives are .253/.333/.443 He has 3.2 WAR which is mostly defense and a tiny bit offense, i'm no genius but his numbers seem very similar to Goins. If Goins can hit .250, there is no reason why he can't give you similar value to Drew.

Wait, can we actually do that? I thought the whole idea of the tournament was to get them scholarships in colleges so then they could be drafted later on.

Let him start and then switch to Redmond, will probably be same result anyway.

I personally liked Yan Gomes, thought he did well enough to stay as backup catcher and see what we can make out of him. For some reason he is now doing really well as the first catcher in a playoff team... Obviously we missed some signs.

It's pretty clear to me we do an ok job at drafting people but we are terrible at developing and evaluating people.

JP has a good number of RBI but if you look at his Batting with RISP, it's worse than horrible.

I didn't say it was, i was hoping it would stabilize up with more playing time.

He can be alright once in a while but i have no idea why we would trade for him, he doesn't give many innings, he's very inefficient and he's not that great.

Any idea if Goins was able to secure a spot at winter ball? I'm still hopeful that with some more playing time, his bat will stabilize up towards average numbers.

Probably as likely as you or someone else on the board to chip in 150 million dollar for a new stadium.

Obviously JP sucked this year, but it's still possible he will develop at one point or another (or never) into a good hitter. This year, that theory completely failed.

When i saw the ball coming his way i had a bad feeling about it, he caught it in between hop and then it bounced off his wrist, tough luck.

Imagine if they would put up the same results as the Blue Jays, attendance would probably be 2k.
