    I think AA is thinking defense and playing time at Rogers center, that does make Ellis a very good fit IMO. Drew is probably a much better fit but he doesn't want to pay that kind of money. That only leaves Goins and a trade option.

    It's amazing how much AA loves being tricky on those tiny transactions.

    More like donation or tax than lighting it on fire. Think of it as the canceled gas plant and the 1 bil dollar it cost to do it. We thought we were getting a new gas plant but we ended up with a huge hole in the pocket.

    The way that AA explained it back then (if i recall) is that we released him for his own good so hopefully if/when he's healthy he can come back. Why would you release someone so he can sign elsewhere?
