  1. They will need to wow me before i go and watch a game to be honest, so far i went to 2-3 games and we lost them all by huge margins. I honestly don't understand how you guys like watching baseball on the ground, it seems so static and dry outside TV that unless there is a lot of action going on, it's very boring.
  2. I really hope he proves everyone wrong.
  3. Did they actually test it for all possible positions to be hit by the ball? The clips i've seen so far show a ball hit the head in the front, we all know it usually hits around the side/ear.
  4. I bet AA doesn't do anything, he probably loves reading those articles saying he's a ninja for waiting for the right deal and then he won't pull the trigger.
  5. Jays are probably around 1% the size of Rogers, so fairly small.
  6. As long as we have Buck, i'm fine with anyone they choose.
  7. So much for my theory about the West coast...
  8. He wants a team on the west coast so it will be close to Japan, i honestly don't know how it can be Toronto or Chicago. When you're talking 100mil or 120mil, i really doubt the money becomes a factor, more of the other things that money can't buy like the place, weather, proximity to Japan...
  9. Nice kid, MLB has him at number 16 right now.
  10. He might be good with the bat, i doubt AA gives up on him unless it's for a trade.
  11. AA will probably say that competition is good for the team.
  12. That is one of the incentives for Rogers to own the Blue Jays, they get that audience pool which is worth billions for the same price as owning the team.
  13. What i don't understand, for sure AA knows our chances are very slim, so why not get a deal with one of the available SP free agents? We don't have any competition until Tanaka signs so why not use that? I guess the other side would be the players not wanting to sign until their stocks rise which means wait until Tanaka signs...
  14. We also suck at developing talent so you never know.
  15. I guess his first task that AA put on his shoulders was to get something out of Goins, we should all hold our hands together and hope. *ducks* On a serious note, i think Goins got some fundamentals to work with so i'm hopeful. *ducks*
  16. Will be funny if the Rakuten Golden Eagles retract Tanaka's post because of the MLB request for no side deal.
  17. Can't find anything about him, is he what AA got for that money cap he traded for?
  18. It's a guessing game really, only way to maybe find out is if there is a complete meltdown and everyone is telling s*** on everyone else or if he's not in the job anymore. All any one of us can do is cross their fingers and hope for the best.
  19. He can actually touch 97 from what i've seen. It is scary that he seem to have a lot of mileage at an early age but then again, in the past they used to throw a lot more and were just fine.
  20. I'd be surprised if he cares about anything other than money.
  21. Isn't that what they did in 2012?
  22. He's also the agent of Jeter and Teixeira, so it's either the Yankees or the Dodgers.
  23. Those buy out clauses aren't common, only a few very elite has them. Baseball is more expensive, if you go by average team payroll in 2013 it was 105mil. If you take the richest 30 soccer teams in Europe, i doubt you'll come anywhere near it. So far the team that is breaking all those spending records is Real Madrid and their current payroll is at around 156mil.
  24. Looks like there is a 30 days time table in which he can sign, i guess it will take longer than i thought though it seems like he can pick someone earlier than that.
