  1. Unreal tag by Gimenez. Here's to one of our challenges finally going our way lol
  2. First whiff of the night on the changeup lol
  3. Interesting that Berrios, who has been pumping fastball/sinkers all game, starts Duran with slurve, changeup, cutter and another slurve. Attempting to give a different look a third time through?
  4. I feel like that Lukes slide is one of those that might not even have been legal pre rule change. You either slide hard into the bag or you keep your hands to yourself. Throwing out your arm and blocking his leg on the throw is textbook interference.
  5. Absolutely moronic decision from Lukes. Inexcusable.
  6. That's a stupid move by Lukes whether intentional or not.
  7. Berrios doesn't have a single whiff this game (lol), but in his defense he's been like 75% fastball/sinker and is battling the cold. Grinding us through 5 relatively stress free innings.
  8. I love that Pete Walker is involved in all our beefs around the field.
  9. Vlad's first hit in his contract is a groundball hit at a million mph. Some things change, some things stay the same.
  10. Berrios seems to have lost the strikezone this inning. Need a reset here.
  11. The bottom of the lineup continues have solid ABs. Tough luck for Wagner but the process was beautiful.
  12. That's a meatball that Wagner just passed up on.
  13. George Springer comeback season continues in full force.
  14. Another terrific swing from Gimenez, surely that's gone in an average summer night.
  15. Santander now would be a great time to make your presence known on this lineup.
  16. Nice to see the power stroke from Bo on consecutive ABs.
  17. It's raining sideways in the background of Hazel Mae's pregame report lol.
  18. It's actively snowing in Detroit as the Yankees face the Tigers. Temp of 5 C, feels like -1. That must be miserable for all involved.
  19. Romano has had a rough start to his Phillies tenure. Average fastball velo is 94.5 - down 2 mph from last season, swinging strike rate far below his career average. Touched up by the Dodgers yesterday. 4 IP 6 K 4 BB 1 HBP 1 HR 15.75 ERA/6.46 xERA 7.09 FIP/4.98 xFIP
  20. There's quite a bit of money coming off the books at the end of 2025 and then again in 2026. If Gimenez slides over to SS (assuming Bo is as good as gone) and we can develop a starting pitcher (or three) it would mitigate the losses and give us some breathing room to use the payroll efficiently to round out the rest of the roster.
  21. The prince that was promised.
  22. It sucks but it is possible to come out ahead here. The team is 5-5 despite getting piss all from their 2, 3 and 5 hitters. Not gonna score many runs with those spots in the lineup providing nothing. Vlad and Santander have the track record to put it together, and the former loves hitting at Fenway. Kirk needs to pull it together, his consistently awful ABs with runners on has been pissing me off. There were so many instances of him coming up in a big spot and striking out in a bad way, popping it up or hitting a weak groundball. Pull it together Kirk! Despite the brutal result the pitching held their own in New York. It's probably gonna be slugfests rather than pitching duels since Fenway contests always play out like a Coors lite when these two teams are involved. The offense needs to wake up, from the power department especially.
