  1. fWAR through age 25: Player A - 14.6 Player B - 16.9 fWAR from 2022-2024: Player A - 12.7 Player B - 10.0 fWAR projection (by FGDC) in 2025: Player A - 4.7 Player B - 4.2 Player A is signed for 5/96 guaranteed with a club option for $23M. Player B wants $500M+ over 15 years. Player B is Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
  2. Sample size schmanple size, but Gimenez already projects for a 110 wRC+ by FGDC RoS. He's improved his projections by ~3-4 wRC+ around the board.
  3. He did have a 105 Stuff+ on the 4-seam and 108 on the cutter so the primary pitches are legit enough for a #5 starter. The model thinks the slider is right around average - although it's rated well in the past as a reliever- and the change is awful, although I don't know how good it is at evaluating offspeed. For instance, it thinks Gausman's splitter hasn't been that good in the tracking era which doesn't pass the sniff test.
  4. Charlie Morton is getting touched up again. Stuff looks crisp but 4 runs on 2 bombs in 3 innings of work.
  5. Best part is after all that Hoffman only threw 9 pitches.
  6. That is a moronic decision if I've seen one. Running on Tyler "Johnny Bench" Heinenman with the game on the line lmao. Idiot.
  7. Sick defense from the infield today.
  8. I mean either way you'd rather Lukes playing LF for the last couple of innings.
  9. Easily, yes. He's been in the 92nd+ percentile every year from 2021 onwards (no qualifying runs in 2024). Ernie was our fastest last year among qualified players at the 78th percentile with a 28.4 ft/s avg sprint speed. Straw tends to come in around 29.2 ft/s.
  10. Abrams is a god awful defender. He had -17 OAA last season, -35 over a three year career. Obvious candidate to move off the position. Hell, Paul DeJong is a significantly better fielder and he's next to him at third.
  11. Pathetic AB from Vlad but got lucky that CJ Abrams is a horrendous defender at short.
  12. Okay Ross, I see you Ross. You're showing off now Ross.
  13. This Nats bullpen is garbage. All things considered scoring 3 against Gore over 5 innings is a decent outcome. Time to break this game wide open.
  14. Ernie still a vacuum over at 3B at least.
  15. Abrams and Keibert Ruiz have been punishing us this whole series.
  16. Bullpen needs to lock this down because this is incredibly frustrating to watch. The offense has been getting the job done but bad luck/sequencing and we're only 3-0 up.
  17. High fastball after high fastball to Schneider, the game plan is so obvious. He also swings at all of them.
  18. Ernie f***ing crushed that, unlucky. We'll take the run.
  19. John Schneider is a fiend with matchups, he'd call that bluff immediately.
  20. Badly need at least the runner on third to score, if not the one on second as well.
