  1. He's clueless man, lol.
  2. He's done it again!!
  3. Are you seriously bashing Smoak's defense? What the f*** dude
  4. Come on man, for f***'s sake.
  5. Well the defense came to play. Aledmys Diaz has been a stud all year on the field.
  6. Lol Sanchez with the perfect start.
  7. Giles is really good.
  8. Hopefully we give Gurriel two more shots to extend the streak.
  9. Remember when McKinney having Justin Upton upside was a joke?
  10. Kendrys Morales is unconscious.
  11. Dying at the Eugenio Suarez pronunciations.
  12. I get it, there's definitely a mental aspect. But wouldn't it be more demoralizing to get sent down to AAA while your team is in a playoff run rather than to just be dropped to low leverage spots for a while until you "figures it out"? I can't see any good reason that Albers should be on the roster over Knebel unless he's injured or he just completely hit a roadblock in his performance, and given his peripherals, this really doesn't seem to be the case.
  13. That's just a small sample size. Matt Albers has been complete garbage all year, doesn't project very well and is 35 years old. If you don't mind keeping him around because he'd pitch in low leverage spots, wouldn't you prefer to have actual good reliever Corey Knebel be pitching in those spots and supposedly "regain" his confidence against MLB competition? Also this given up runs in X of his last Y games is exactly the reason why I'm criticizing this move. He's been fine overall and was an elite reliever for them last year, you certainly shouldn't be demoting him when you can just play him in low leverage spots, it's not like the Brewers have a Yankee-esque bullpen.
  14. Knebel projects better than anyone not named Hader. Gray's ERA is probably significantly lower because...he was never bad to begin with so it's just normalizing like it would have regardless; as a matter of fact his FIP and xFIP since being recalled are noticeably worse (3.13 vs 3.52 FIP, 2.85 vs 3.61 xFIP) and his K rate has sharply declined, but that's just regression to the mean.
  15. The Brewers optioned Corey Knebel to AAA because his ERA is too high and some bad HR/FB luck. Demoting your likely second best reliever in the middle of a playoff race seems like a great idea.
  16. He doesn't get talked about "enough" because of Vlad, Soto and Acuna, but Eloy Jimenez is also dummying AAA as a 21 year old. 178 wRC+ with a 12% K rate, the projections have him as a 129 wRC+ hitter in the majors. With Quintana sucking, the White Sox came away like bandits out of this deal, Dylan Cease has been excellent this season as well.
  17. This is an incredible pitching matchup. Grandal and Molina are making a huge impact as well with their framing talents.
  18. This broadcast sounds like they're drunk out of their minds but you gotta give it to them, they have great chemistry together.
  19. Daric Barton was basically Joey Votto without an elite hit tool and at least 50 raw power. Even in his great year he only had a .131 ISO as a first baseman; fascinating player.
  20. Jack Flaherty is doing unspeakable things to this Dodgers lineup.
  21. So does Rich Hill's. It's actually pretty apparent that Pannone's fastball is easily his best pitch. Hitters are fooled by it, I think it's similar to Estrada's fastball where deception combined with a high spin rate makes it a much better pitch than the velocity would suggest. With that said he's probably only a #5 starter at best, or a potentially effective LOOGY, he seemed to be able to get whiffs out of the bullpen.
  22. Edwin with two homeruns tonight to draw closer to Morales lol.
  23. Yup, even Jed Lowrie has been way better lol.
  24. The rookie of the year race in the NL is gonna be a wild finish. Acuna might be leading right now due to his team being in a contending spot.
  25. Khris Davis is like the right handed version of Adam Dunn except he doesn't walk nearly as much.
