  1. Those were some filthy sliders from Thornton, more of that going forward please.
  2. Even when we get some luck we still don't get enough, f***.
  3. Can only hit hanging breaking balls from the reigning Cy Young winner, what a scrub lmao.
  4. Man for such a garbage baseball player Lourdes Gurriel Jr. goes on some monster tears.
  5. David Price in the 2018 playoffs: 26 IP, 7.96 K/9, 4.15 BB/9, 10.4 K-BB%, 3.46 ERA/4.78 FIP/4.87 xFIP Oh yeah, they totally couldn't have done it without him. David Price was definitely the reason why the Red Sox won the World Series in 2018, not like Joe Kelly who didn't give up a run in 11 innings with 13 strikeouts and no walks, or Nate Eovaldi who once pitched like 4 games in a row and had a 2.71 FIP, or Chris Sale and his 24 strikeouts over 15 innings. But yeah, it was David Price. THE BEST PITCHER THROUGHOUT THE PLAYOFFS, who lead them to glory.
  6. Harper is also only 3 years older and 20 WAR ahead. Bellinger might be (a lot) better now but Bryce is still a guy that on a disappointing year can still put up 3.5-4 wins. Their career paths are actually pretty similar to this point, as Bryce had consecutive 4 win seasons his first two years and at age 23 put up his monster season. If Bellinger can maintain his massive strikeout reduction while keeping the power then maybe in a year's time we'll be able to have a better outlook at the questioned posed. I'll say Bryce has the better career until Bellinger proves he's a legitimate 8+ WAR true talent player.
  7. Clayton Kershaw is having an approximately average start through 5 innings and Rick Sutcliffe is acting like he's Bartolo Colon out there. This is awful to listen to.
  8. Wow Kiermaier didn't get to a f***ing ball once, Gurriel just missed another HR by a few inches.
  9. Yup, just par for the course when you're playing Tampa at the Trop.
  10. Another rocket from Vladdy and the outfielder barely has to move.
  11. Wow Jonathan Davis showing the pop! Good for him.
  12. Plus the Rays also have one of the best crews in the game.
  13. Didn't they have to reconstruct his finger nail last year or in the offseason? It's all related I think.
  14. The Rays literally can't do anything to generate new fans in Tampa, assuming their marketing division isn't the worst in professional sports. They have no control over their fans, the biggest predictor for getting fans to come to the ballpark is winning, and the Rays are consistently doing that, or building a foundation for future success. "Cheap owners"? I mean yeah I guess, but if the team isn't generating much revenue, which I can't imagine the Rays are, then a top half payroll just isn't in the cards. Not every team is the Yankees, Dodgers and Boston and can afford to throw a bunch of money at their problems and be profitable in down years, at least the Rays' ownership is keen enough to continue to find intelligent people to run their front office.
  15. Waguespack is racking up the swinging strikes.
  16. What exactly are you disagreeing with me on? Do you disagree that the Rays are an excellently run organization? I'm well aware that their situation in terms of location is terrible, and the fact that in spite of that they have the smartest people in the business to still create a contender is admirable.
  17. f*** playing the Rays, but pretty much everything about their team and organization given their resources is commendable.
  18. For the record, Waguespack got three times as many swinging strikes in that inning as Sanchez did in his entire outing, 27 pitches (6 SwStr) vs. 64 (2 SwStr).
  19. Good inning from Waguespack, can't blame s*** luck on him.
  20. lol @ blaming this on Waguespack. Gets two strikeouts and then the Rays get two garbage hits combined with some awful defense and it's the pitcher's fault.
  21. The Jays at the Trop is always the worst experience ever. Nothing goes our way and the Rays get everything going theirs.
  22. Kiermaier being a pain in the ass, ho-hum.
  23. Well at least Tellez made up for it with a perfect throw to third.
