  1. Diego Castillo really trying to save face by blaming the mound lol.
  2. Okay luckily he didn't step directly with the leading foot, his back foot dragged and clipped Biggio's so not as bad.
  3. That was scary as hell, Garcia stepped on Biggio's ankle/heel running at full speed and he tumbled pretty badly himself.
  4. Typical garbage Rays hit.
  5. Yeah I agree with this point, hell even a guy like Eric Sogard has failed to lay one down against the shift with two strikes several times this series. It's much harder than it looks that's for sure, also lol @ Eric Sogard getting shifted.
  6. You're right but the third baseman was playing shallow so unless they were going for the squeeze it's still a tough bunt to pull off when you have the force at every base.
  7. My god that was ridiculous, I thought Pham could come in on the ball and it just carried past him on a line drive. 111.7 mph EV.
  8. That's a brutal call wow. Kratz definitely stole that pitch.
  9. If it was so easy to consistently beat the shift and go against your regular pull tendencies why doesn't everyone do it? It's not just power hitters who are shifted against these days, Freddy Galvis just simply isn't a good enough hitter to make that adjustment or Tampa Bay wouldn't have shifted in the first place.
  10. Drury with a 108 mph rocket but of course it's hit right to Kiermaier, what else is now at the Trop. .760 xBA
  11. The Rays with a shift that works to perfection but you'll never see Buck and Pat acknowledge that, now if someone hits a dribbler that barely squeaks by against the shift you'll hear about it non-stop for the duration of the inning.
  12. Montoyo has never bunted with a good hitter.
  13. I feel like as a lefty against Alvarado your best bet is to lay off everything and hope that he beats himself. The 2-seamer at 98-100 is simply unhittable if it starts out anywhere near the middle of the plate.
  14. Kratz you have one job bro.
  15. Danny Jansen has a cannon.
  16. https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=0&type=8&season=2019&month=0&season1=2019&ind=0&team=0,ss&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&startdate=&enddate=
  17. Kevin Kiermaier is such a f***ing pain in the ass.
  18. Holy f*** WHAT A CATCH. That was ridiculous, that would've been good even for Pillar!
  19. Those were some filthy sliders from Thornton, more of that going forward please.
  20. Even when we get some luck we still don't get enough, f***.
  21. Can only hit hanging breaking balls from the reigning Cy Young winner, what a scrub lmao.
  22. Man for such a garbage baseball player Lourdes Gurriel Jr. goes on some monster tears.
  23. David Price in the 2018 playoffs: 26 IP, 7.96 K/9, 4.15 BB/9, 10.4 K-BB%, 3.46 ERA/4.78 FIP/4.87 xFIP Oh yeah, they totally couldn't have done it without him. David Price was definitely the reason why the Red Sox won the World Series in 2018, not like Joe Kelly who didn't give up a run in 11 innings with 13 strikeouts and no walks, or Nate Eovaldi who once pitched like 4 games in a row and had a 2.71 FIP, or Chris Sale and his 24 strikeouts over 15 innings. But yeah, it was David Price. THE BEST PITCHER THROUGHOUT THE PLAYOFFS, who lead them to glory.
  24. Harper is also only 3 years older and 20 WAR ahead. Bellinger might be (a lot) better now but Bryce is still a guy that on a disappointing year can still put up 3.5-4 wins. Their career paths are actually pretty similar to this point, as Bryce had consecutive 4 win seasons his first two years and at age 23 put up his monster season. If Bellinger can maintain his massive strikeout reduction while keeping the power then maybe in a year's time we'll be able to have a better outlook at the questioned posed. I'll say Bryce has the better career until Bellinger proves he's a legitimate 8+ WAR true talent player.
