  1. Other interesting quotes:
  2. Here's something to draw away from the awful talk over the last page. Joey Gallo did an interview with fangraphs and he comes across as a very intelligent player, knows his strengths and weaknesses well and has worked on diminishing the latter. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/joey-gallo-talks-hitting/ One particularly cool quote is this one: Pretty smart dude, and it's nice to see that he recognizes how unique he is and doesn't try to be like any other hitter. Accepts his streakiness but obviously works on becoming more consistent.
  3. 108 mph with a .740 xBA, oh well.
  4. Vladdy robbed again, just par for the course that one of his rockets finds a glove.
  5. Hot take but I'm seeing pretty much the exact Ken Giles repertoire here, with less command of course.
  6. I don't know if he'll feature that on every pitch but Romano just threw a couple of filthy sliders.
  7. Lol @ Trent Thornton wearing the Jano gear.
  8. Man when Vladdy hits a ball to RF-CF the ball is always f***ing destroyed. The ball explodes off his bat.
  9. David Hess is painting corners with 95 and showing a wipeout slider against the Jays, again. This is just the worst year imaginable.
  10. Yeah I know, I just mean from a prospecty perspective, if he's up in AA as a 22 year old that makes him a guy.
  11. We might need to start talking about Joey Murray more. Not as a frontline starter, but the guy can get strikeouts, would be nice to see him in AA at some point this season so he's pitching against more age appropriate competition.
  12. It's one start lol. Maybe he was throwing 100, maybe he changed grips and his slider is filthy now, or maybe he just happened to have a good day.
  13. Here's the 9-0 celebration: https://streamable.com/0w8ql On the other hand, here's the German men's team and their celebrations on 7-0 and 8-0 against a comparably much stronger (but garbage nonetheless) opponent in Estonia. https://streamja.com/GkyQ https://streamja.com/Kzp3
  14. These are some of the celebrations when it was a 10+ goal lead. https://streamable.com/y6qdw https://streamable.com/mqqv6 The coaches jumping out of their seats and the players doing a dancing wave is pretty bush league IMO, they're playing against amateurs here.
  15. Yeah that part is dumn, we're no better than anyone in that position.
  16. The TSN panel is tearing team USA apart for celebrating all of the goals. And I think I agree, there's nothing wrong with continuing to score and keep competing but celebrating after it's already a ridiculous blowout is pretty classless and shows poor sportsmanship.
  17. The USWNT is beating Thailand 12-0. Tight game.
  18. Do you mind updating your previous posts now that you seem to have gotten the hang of it? You're doing good work but it's kind of an eyesore.
  19. I know you're not entirely serious but the Hornets are a terrible franchise owned by Michael Jordan so you'd always be in his shadow, and the Bulls aren't really that attractive nowadays either, plus New York > Chicago. Minnesota is a joke of a franchise.
  20. I feel the same about my 3/23 start with a .174 SLG, it's like what else do I have to do to win a matchup in this league??
  21. I love what they're doing with Gasol, really taking advantage of the size mismatch.
  22. I've been near the heart of the celebrations for a few of the Finals games after their conclusions and honestly it's been very responsible. There's excitement and rowdiness in a very polite and respectful manner. I don't think riots are to be expected if we win tonight or any of the remaining games. However, if we lose this series in 7, that's a different story, the large cities have always handled defeat substantially worse and that's where I'd be a bit more worried.
