In the Cooper deal they also gave away Caleb Smith who has turned out to be quite a capable starter.
They were part of the three team Steven Souza Jr. deal between the Rays and D-Backs. They acquired Brandon Drury and gave up Nick Solak and Taylor Widener so that was just a truly awful deal for the Yankees, even if they did acquire half a season of JA Happ out of it. They also traded away Sonny Gray for little and he's doing very well in the NL Central.
That's not to say any of those players are stars, but the Yankees aren't infallible. They have a ton of resources and they make a lot of good moves but Cashman isn't the f***ing boogeyman.
Nah no way, fourth time through the order facing the very best hitters while his pitch count is high. Let him leave on a high note, if the bullpen blows it for him so be it, better them than him and shattering his confidence after a truly outstanding start.
Can we get politics out of the basketball thread FFS. It's one thing to complain that there are suits and politicians in the parade, but there's another thread for this other s***.
Yeah I don't fully get it tbh. I thought my offense was gonna be around average and my pitching inconsistent but could get a good week every now and then. I've been quick on the trigger from the waiver pile too, found a couple of hidden gems and still nothing.
