  1. Another immaculate inning in the books.
  2. Hell yeah Danny, keep that s*** going.
  3. Gurriel with another walk, taking some close pitches. Right now if a pitch is thrown to him with any kind of break he's reading that right out of the pitcher's hand.
  4. They probably limited his pitch count so he can start in 3-4 days.
  5. Danny Jansen is really heating up.
  6. He was consistently 94-95 in this one lol. I think his stuff just plays up out of the bullpen whereas as a starter he's more conservative with velocity in order to last longer.
  7. SRF has looked fantastic in this one, he could really have a future as a multi-inning reliever or post-opener starter if being a regular full-time starter doesn't work out. When his command is at least at 75% his stuff is filthy.
  8. And all I'm saying is Montoyo isn't the one that's making the decision to use openers, that comes from the FO for sure. I'm not disagreeing with you either, I feel like the team just doesn't like the bullpen all that much either so it's pretty much s*** vs turd on deciding who to start games with.
  9. You guys are out to lunch if you believe it's Kevin Cash making the calls on using openers in Tampa.
  10. Even if he stupidly advises Sanchez not to take it, no one is signing Aaron Sanchez for an $18M+ AAV or even a big multi-year contract with draft pick compensation/penalty included. So there's no point for us to even offer it because there's a strong chance he'd take it and we'd be paying Sanchez to be a ~2 WAR pitcher when he's barely replacement level.
  11. One guy tweeted yesterday that Kawhi to Lakers was confirmed and they were just working out the details. Except that Kawhi allegedly hadn't even met with the Clippers or Raptors lol. Everyone is throwing a bunch of s*** at the wall and hoping that they get the mystery team right to fluff up their e-cred. Until Kawhi himself, the team or maybe one of the main breaking news reporters (Shams, Woj, Stein) breaks the news no one knows anything and it's all pure speculation.
  12. Your dumn for several reasons in this scenario.
  13. Man replay is great because sometimes on bang-bang plays it's a coin flip for the ump, but in that instance it wasn't even close. God awful call.
  14. What an AB from Gurriel, he is on another level of locked in.
  15. He's a late bloomer on a ridiculously team friendly contract. They aren't really under any obligation to move him but if they did they could get a haul.
  16. I sure hope he doesn't get offered a QO, would you give Aaron Sanchez $18M+?
  17. O/U average age of the voters: 55.5 years old.
  18. Egregious choices and/or omissions. 1. Where the f*** is Ken Giles? 2. Jose Abreu with his 109 wRC+ and 0.5 WAR made the team over Yoan Moncada and his 132 wRC+/2.4 WAR 3. Xander Bogaerts got hilariously robbed. 3.7 WAR - 5th highest in the entire league among position players - and he couldn't make the team over J.D. Martinez who's been a worse hitter and contributed 1.8 WAR. 4. Max Muncy, 3.2 WAR - 11th in the league - not on the roster. 5. Lance Lynn and Chris Sale didn't make it, muh ERA. It's nice to know nothing has changed. 6. David Dahl made it with a 121 wRC+ and 1.4 WAR. Beats out Alex Verdugo, Hunter Renfroe, Marcell Ozuna, Michael Conforto, all of whom were similar or better hitters but don't have the luxury of Coors and were better defenders.
  19. His problem isn't the movement, if he doesn't know where the ball is going then it's not going to make a difference by focusing on a 4-seam heavy approach. He's just not a good pitcher.
  20. Seriously lol, like you're a terrible hitter man, you better know how to drop one down on cue. Luckily he got it done.
  21. Nothing of his will be effective if he can't fix his command.
  22. Yup that's a good call, Sogard missed the tag.
