  1. Garbage luck there, Fisher made a great play and it literally snow cones out of his glove as he's already practically finished the play.
  2. Second time in a week this ******** happens.
  3. How the f*** is this taking so long? He's out, it's pretty clear.
  4. What's with everyone believing that all Fisher could bring to the table is hitting? Have you seen him run? The guy is incredibly fast and isn't nearly as poor of an outfielder as you guys are making him out to be. That's not me saying I think he'll put it together, but he has just as many tools as Alford has for instance.
  5. Alford has an infectious smile, seems like a really nice guy.
  6. Attaboy Alford! First career dinger that was!
  7. It's incredible how much of a drastic difference there is between Drury the infielder and Drury the outfielder. Guy is a rock within the diamond.
  8. Austin Hays is basically playing like prime Kiermaier against the Jays. He's catching everything and hitting very well.
  9. Olerud, Vlad has a 109 wRC+ as a 20 year old, groundballs or not. Yes his hitting profile currently isn't where it should be and he should fix that, but his biggest present problem and failure is that he's bleeding value on the bases and on defense. Kevin Newman of the Pirates has a 109 wRC+ in rougly equal playing time to Vladdy with exactly average defense and baserunning (0 runs provided from each) and he's at 2.1 WAR whereas Vlad is at 0.7, and the latter is 6 years younger and crushed the minor leagues. No offense man, but shut the f*** up about his launch angle lol, I'm sure he's well aware that hitting this many groundballs is an issue and there's no reason to believe he won't adjust, given his prior hitting success. Vlad's hitting at his age is not currently a problem, everything else is.
  10. Looks like the Rays and Indians will be tied for WC2 heading into tomorrow.
  11. The Cardinals continue to s*** all over the Cubs' hopes and dreams, Darvish left in for the 9th inning and gives up two runs and has to leave with 8.1 IP, 12 K and 0 BB.
  12. He's one of those guys that's always just hit in the minors. People think he has no tools because he's white and has a boring name without flashy tools but I think he's got pretty much average to below average tools across the board, which if it all clicks can turn into a decent player.
  13. Damn, two shots for McKinney both against lefties.
  14. Man I know the super inconsistent PT is doing him no favours but Alford looks dreadful at the plate.
  15. Yeah but again, he's better than at least one of current alternatives. Just DFA Ureña if you're worried about the 40-man spot. After Bo who's currently concussed our only other SS on the 40-man are Ureña and Breyvic Valera. It's not like you have to keep him long term, if space becomes an issue later on you DFA as well and no sleep is lost.
  16. Darvish's unreal second half continues (culminates?) with another excellent 6 IP, 0BB, 10 K performance.
  17. Because he can play all over the infield and Ureña really sucks? He can't be any worse, is just 24 and had a decent year in AAA. Why not honestly?
  18. MLB review is still a f***ing joke, my god.
  19. I'm not sure the latter point is correct, Maile was a better framer last season than Jansen was this season in fewer opportunities, and has consistently rated as an elite defensive catcher in limited playing time. The other stuff is semantics and intangibles so I'm not gonna disagree with you there, but again I'm sure the Jays were using the veteran angle for justifying starting Maile today.
  20. That review should not have taken nearly as long as it did, it was clear as day.
  21. I think it has to do with vetrin presents and Maile probably being a nice catcher to throw to as a young inexperienced starter.
  22. Zeuch is having an excellent outing, not what I expected at all.
  23. What an inning for Zeuch. Command your pitches like that consistently and the big man might yet provide some value.
  24. Gardner is an excellent player but my god does he whine. Chill out mega mind.
