  1. The Brewers might want to have a therapist ready for Grisham ASAP.
  2. Genuinely feel really bad for him. That's one you don't forget about, and he'll be reminded of it for a long time.
  3. That was an all-time misplay from Grisham there, just concede the tying run but that's the worst possible thing that can happen.
  4. Holy s***!!!! Juan Soto you beauty!
  5. Imagine calling in Michael Taylor to pinch hit instead of Ryan Zimmerman because the former is 1-1 against Hader. Pathetic decision.
  6. One of the coaches definitely voted for Law given how much he was used.
  7. Honestly it's kind of a ******** offer for Rendon. On the surface 7/215 looks nice and about what you'd expect he might get, but when you defer half the salary the contract really becomes 14/215 and certainly there's a team out there that will actually offer a $30MM AAV without having him jump through hoops. Present money is worth more than future money.
  8. No one's saying they suck. They are however missing the best player in the NL, have a worse offense than the Nats, and don't have a Scherzer/Strasburg for as good as Hader and Woodruff for 2-3 innings are.
  9. How is Montas available? I thought guys suspended for PED during the season weren't eligible for the playoffs?
  10. The Rays have the superior starter going in Uncle Charlie, so I understand people picking them. The Coliseum is gonna be incredibly loud though, and I agree with you that the A's are better, especially on offense and defense. On the other hand I can't see the Nats as anything but heavy favourites.
  11. This is only his third start since being injured for two months, and he went two innings in each of those. Hasn't pitched since the 22nd.
  12. The Nats are at home with a better offense even including Yelich who won't be playing and will have two of Scherzer/Strasburg/Corbin available. I think it's pretty safe to say they're the favourites for that game.
  13. This bold prediction probably aged the worst lol. You did get the Red Sox and Edwin Diaz right though.
  14. Jorge Soler has 47 homeruns, and will be the AL leader while playing half his games at f***ing Kauffman.
  15. Thornton officially finishes his season with 154 innings and 2 WAR, excellent find by the FO in a team that's lacking pitching depth. Thornton is inconsistent but shows flashes of being a valuable ~4th starter, and as a rookie we'll take that performance going forward and hope that he can iron out the kinks with regards to his command.
  16. Charlie Morton? Blake Snell? Meadows was certainly excellent this year. Tell me about the elite players on the Cardinals, I'm sure everyone would say it's good for baseball for the Cardinals to win despite them being a worse team. To say that the Rays don't have an exciting team is totally your interpretation, I enjoy teams that don't have any black holes and despite limited payroll can find creative ways to win. The Rays have a lot more good players than you're giving them credit for.
  17. f*** "what's good for baseball". The Rays and A's are the kind of teams that dictate how baseball evolves, them being smarter than everyone else leads to change, and I hope either of them wins the World Series. Yeah it's s***** that the Rays have no fans, but they have a super exciting team built from intelligent decision making and player development. The Rays are pretty much responsible for the adoption of catcher framing and openers, they move the sport forward. "What's good for baseball" would have the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, Phillies, Cubs, Giants winning every year. f*** that.
  18. Can you remove the 25-man roster restriction for the time being? Due to the way the league is currently set up adds are processed as if they were at the beginning of the season so some players can't be transferred to and from the IR, so if you have over 25 players you might not be able to add them. Perhaps marking the draft as complete will solve that issue.
  19. Fantrax has a single players with dual eligibility. So Ohtani will be UT/SP, Lorenzen is CF/SP/RP. Edit: I see that Ohtani weirdly shows up as SP only in our league. We can override his position so that he gains UT.
  20. Everyone: the spreadsheet isn't going anywhere, league history will remain Silvergun: but muh league recordssss?!?!?!
  21. Unfortunately for Font, his last two appearances are not doing him any favours with regards to his status with the team going into next season.
  22. Fisher has a sweet ass swing when he connects. The way he turned on that inside pitch to hit a rope down the line was beautiful.
  23. Aw man, Alford just missed that.
