  1. Another nice play from Espinal. Side note - I'm still not used to batted balls up the middle essentially being routine plays, 10 years ago those are automatic hits every time. The shift has really messed with my perspective of what is and isn't a hit straight off the bat.
  2. Stripling looks excellent. The changeup is doing wonders against lefties and he's locating his pitches well.
  3. Chapman made that look like a chest-high one hopper to the second baseman. Guy is unreal out there at 3B.
  4. Another Kirk infield single. Nice to have speed on the bases late in game.
  5. Are you kidding? He had a 7:1 K/BB in 7 innings, and honestly should've been 8:0 with robo umps. Manoah was excellent.
  6. That's as perfect as a pitch gets on 3-2. Complete ********.
  7. Nothing's getting past the Rocket out there.
  8. Something I noticed that's very glaring is that even while resting Bogaerts the Red Sox still didn't put Story at SS. His arm must be f***ed or there's some other issue there.
  9. Stripling is bossing this lineup, pumping fastballs by them one after along with a good change. Number of 95s too.
  10. Chapman is simply phenomenal on defense.
  11. 98, he's pumped up.
  12. Gausman is bullying hitters.
  13. It's always hilarious to see a guy put their whole body into a throw and not come close at all. Espinal coming through yet again.
  14. Two strike count doesn't phase Zack "Joe Mauer" Collins.
  15. Collins doesn't seem awful at every aspect of catching necessarily - that throw notwithstanding - but my god he is an absolutely abysmal framer. Guy could have a ten year career if robo umps came around.
  16. Clearly the looping curve is tunneling the high fastball right now.
  17. Lol @ Pat Tabler suggesting Dalbec was sitting on the splitter. No Pat, he just had no idea what was coming and prayed to God the pitch that was thrown was called a ball.
  18. Gausman is basically Marco Estrada if Marco Estrada topped out at 97. The swings and misses and uncomfortable takes he generates are nuts
  19. Chapman has an absolute rocket for an arm.
  20. Gausman is absolutely dealing. 62 pitches through 6 innings.
  21. Nice example there of why bunting against the shift isn't always as clear cut as it's made to be. Pitchers still know how to play defense and you got guys like Gausman with gross stuff that makes bunting not so fun already.
