  1. Um, half of the Stroman trade netted us Jose Berrios. Anthony Kay sucks but at the time of the trade he was also like a 45 FV, just off the top 100 list kind of prospect. Not exactly nothing. JA Happ would've been a better example of someone we didn't get anything back of value for, although if we look at someone like Brandon Drury and how he's doing nowadays you can sort of see where the process in the valuations came from.
  2. Can we f*** off with this s*** already? This is usually a fun thread to read what's going on around the league, nobody cares about the other garbage.
  3. Chapman is insane at third, what an arm.
  4. I mean it was a little bloop that almost fell between the three of them, obviously the LF takes priority but it's not like he has much of a chance to call anyone off since it was a close call on wether he himself could make the play. Just kind of a s***** spot for the fielders involved resulting in an unfortunate event.
  5. Chapman is stellar, and what a turn from Espinal.
  6. Jorge Mateo stood no chance against those filthy breaking balls.
  7. The saddest thing about this is the Rocket has been making up ground in ISO, could you imagine if Tapia finishes the year having displayed more power than Randal Grichuk, who's only plus tool is his power?
  8. Our xBA in this game is .354, just garbage luck in having hits drop at key moments.
  9. Bats were all over Briske. Long ABs, and rockets of 103, 107 and 110 that just didn't find holes. xBA of .560 that inning. They're gonna score a lot of runs today if that continues.
  10. I know I'm just feeding the troll here but to clarify the facts, Springer has just 2 GIDP all season.
  11. Can't blame the ump too much as that was a bang-bang play but Springer is clearly safe. He looked safe to me live but I'm also biased.
  12. Imagine how good Tapia would be with the late 90s "balanced breakfast" diet. Bonds is lucky he didn't share eras with the Rocket or else we'd be looking at him as the second best lefty OF of that period.
  13. Kikuchi missing everywhere and two Royal classics, brutal.
  14. I mean it's not like they got jammed. They didn't hit it particularly hard but it was definitely a good piece of hitting, just a soft line drive up the middle high enough to where no one can make a play on it. You don't have to pummel the ball to say what they did was bad process. Both hits had xBAs > .900.
  15. That was an awful two strike pitch, he had Perez on the ropes.
  16. Maybe just not willing to give it 110% just yet post injury just as the bat is starting to heat up. Gave it a competitive effort to first but he can afford to pull up a bit there to not risk anything.
  17. Vlad missed an absolute hanger but not by much. Just missed the sweet spot to drive it 450 feet.
  18. There's no such thing as an untouchable pitching prospect. A guy like Manoah and that's a different story, but someone like Tiedemann, 19 with little pro experience in the low minors, there's no point in setting unreasonable expectations/valuations until they're much further up the ladder and even then with the imminent injury risk you still always have to be willing to listen.

  20. 2022 Albert Almora Jr.: 108 wRC+ Jesse Winker: 95 wRC+
  21. Forget just Berrios overcoming his recent struggles, this is one of our most dominant starts of the year, right up there with Gausman in the early going.
