It might have been mentioned since I'm slow to the draw on this one, but I see them picking up Happ's option and maybe trying to deal him. He's not horrible this year in the rotation. Worse case he's another vet to have in the rotation especially if injury or one of the young guys struggle. Maybe they could get a B prospect for him, or something of value, especially at the deadline if he keeps going the way he has. Worse case they get something like a B prospect and the other team absorbs the salary. A few teams might be willing to give up a little something if they need to fill out a rotation and Happ hasn't been horrible. Not a top of the rotation guy but if someone wants a #4-5, maybe he's a #3 on a bad team might be worth the shot. If not could use him until he fails, breaks, or such. Sell high kind of deal either in the off season or ST if they're confident in the younger guys in the rotation ie Sanchez, Norris, Nolin, other acquisition.
