Just let him go home now. Hard to see him really getting in there unless someone is injured. Maybe a PH to try to capitalize on his power. It was all but certain he wasn't going to be resigned during this year when he fell apart. At this point the FO seems to want to take the last month to gauge the younger players to see what they can do and move on from Rasmus a bit earlier than usual. It's tough for him but I doubt the final month would have him turn it around enough to make a bigger splash for a contract. The Jays want to see what they have next year and he isn't in the plans. Maybe they'll give him a few starts at the end but the Jays' focus is to see what the youngersters can do and if they might be of help next year.
Although I really do think Sanchez will be starting next year (either in AAA or ML) this IS AA we're talking about. He has fallen into the say one thing, change it, say another, change it etc.
Aren't most people taught, put the glove down to the bag, almost dirt level and let them slide into the glove since then they're out? Hard to claim they're safe if they're standing on the glove.
