    Love to know more about the control/command of all of his pitches but the raw stuff is definitely MLB calibre according to the reports I've read. I think AA needs to be going after this guy if he thinks he is even an average MLB starter.

    He called out a clown for being a clown and then acted sad that Dirk didn't love him for catching him in AAA. It was a silly thing to do sure but, he didn't say anything off base. What I heard is some guys in the clubhouse if he does speak for the team I wont be ok with that. He needed to make sure people knew this was him talking and not the other guys in the room.

    Not what I would have done as it opens himself up to more criticism but, I don't see anything wrong with what did/said. As others have said it made him look a little silly but that's about it.

    Dirk took the high road, he said maybe they have been talking too much about JPA doesn't agree with the criticisms but, JPA needs to play better to get the critics to stop.

    Whyc an't an athlete say he disagrees with a broadcaster? They are both in the spotlight. I don't think JPA should have handled it this way but, I'm busting out the popcorn for Jays Central right now.

    No one said his criticisms were unfair, even JPA didn't. He said it's a hard game and that people don't respect their opinions.

    He has the right to freedom of speech. If Zaun can go up there and say 100 asinine things a show why can't JPA call him out? He also didn't really lambaste them that hard, especially on their criticisms of JP who knows he is playing poorly. If you listen to the comments he basically asks them to stop with the negativity and bring some positivity to the broadcast, said he felt bad for the fans because they were negative all the time not because of who they were or their accomplishments.

    Zaun cheated, it's very well known he was named in the Mitchell Report because he was a cheater. I don't care how many guys were on the cream or the clear or whatever else at the time. Cheating is cheating and when you work hard to get something you lose respect for people who cheated for the same things. Like I said good for JPA, he shouldn't respect Zaun and good for letting the viewers know they shouldn't either. The only reason he is on TV is because he's a moron and is likely to cause drama, TV audiences love stupidity and drama.

    I don't like JPA but he has played through a lot of injuries. Zaun was on roids and I'm happy MLB players don't respect him, he's a hot-headed moron who cheated for his career. I don't get spouting off on Hayhurst who isn't my favourite but always has level well thought out opinions.

    Give JPA the juice and he'll put up Zaun-like numbers, catchers always have nagging injuries it's probably one of the positions that PED's like steroids and HGH help most.

    That's the one! Looked like he was going to leave it at the knees and all of a sudden the bottom fell out. I saw it a couple more times. One of the best swing and miss pitches I've seen in a long time.

    What was that 94mph pitch he threw at the knees and on the dirt a couple times? It was absolutely filthy. Looked like a 2 seam with a heavy splitter break...

    3 innings McG, 3 innings Cecil until one of them is stretched out enough to keep going. Doesn't really matter though I think they are going with Stroman on Sunday.

    Announced as expected to sign but no dollar amount has been released and nothing has been officially signed.
