    Hutch may move to the BP if only because he'd be filthy out of the pen.

    Using their BP more would accomplish this as well and would keep their best pitchers on the mound while moving their less effective starters into short terms roles that will allow them to excel. I don't see it happening but it makes way more sense than a 6-man rotation,

    If anything they should move to a 4man rotation and get to the BP earlier in games.

    He shouldn't need any rest but they taking a cautious approach and like all pitchers there is a chance he'll need to take a step back and recover as he builds arm strength. Let's also remember that a pitcher's lower-half is very important; his knee needs to be healthy to pitch well.

    It's not Gibbons' job to hold healthy players out of games. If the docs say they can play and the player says they are ready to go what is he supposed to do?

    There isnt really a comparison other than that they are both RHP who were drafted out of college in the late first round. Very different players. Stroman pitched 19 innings because he was suspended for getting caught using a banned substance. There was plenty of reason to be concerned at this point in Stroman's career. Harris has literally doubled his career high in innings. Fatigue and struggles are expected given his workload this season.

    No one knows how deep a MLB draft is 2 months after it's completed. It takes far longer than that. Pick any draft and you'll find examples.     It's 2 months after the draft, far too early to call it flat. It lacked elite talent at the very top but the rest of the draft seemed fairly average. I'm also sure you can go back through any "flat" draft and find stud pitchers taken somewhere near the end of the first round. Pitchers are a crap shoot and taking them high is extremely risky in any year.

    Judging by Bautista's reaction I don't think he had any idea he was paying for the suit until the segment ended or it came out of his paycheque.

    He's thrown almost double his career high in innings before this season. You'd obviously want him to put up better numbers but at the same time so issues with fatigue should be expected given the huge jump in workload.

    I think we can expect good results over fewer innings as he wont pitch as deep in to games. I've got no reason to believe that the stuff will be diminished and the BP is now very good. Maybe even piggy back Sanchez and Stroman for the rest of the year. 5 innings Stro, 3 Sanchez, 1 for the BP.

    what people don't realize is that half a mil may be all he makes in his career. It's not like he can just go out and spend it all he needs to save most of that money for his future/retirement.

    Stro will be back in a couple weeks, Hutch's luck will turn, Dickey will find his groove again, Buehrle is Buehrle and Price is a bonafide ace. Nothing to worry about.
