    Well they offered AA a 1yr deal with an option for the assistant GM role. Shapiro/Rogers know he would never take that. So there being dicks about that low-ball offer. By the way, I do believe Shapiro "Scolded" AA because he wanted to be in better position for when he takes over. Which is a total dipshit move. Getting value for your buck is always good, but sometimes you have to bend a bit because of the win curb. Value whores like him and Cherrington are hard to trade with as well, they overvalue their players more.

    AA put together the best Jays team we've seen in our lives, and Rogers lets him go. This is beyond stupidity. I think Shapiro is awesome, but at the end of the day, they should have just let AA run the baseball and Shapiro run building/other things. Our team got a lot weaker today, philosophies are bound to change... some good, some bad. I had a really comfortable year watching AA hit on pretty much every move he made. GL to Shaipro and Rogers to try and duplicate that.

    I think Shapiro is going all the way back and reviewed his tenure. AA probably didn't like that because he feels like a new man. Imagine if someone questioned every decision you made in the past? Probably wouldn't feel to good.

    Well whoever reassured AA of all his moves this year, i hope that guy is kept.

    KC was a bit healthier i think as well. There only injured guy was Cain and his ankle. Perez was pretty beat up as well. The only guys they lost from there opening day lineup was Holland. We had Tulo with a cracked shoulder blade, Edwin with torn ligaments in his hand and a sports hernia. Our best reliever was done in Cecil. Travis was lost for the season and would have made that play Goins pissed himself over. KC needed all these injuries to beat us, then again we are an older team so we can expect more of them.

    Well i'll give you a starting point, David Price has pretty much the best mechanics in the game.

    Just curious but wasn't one of AA's saber guys originally from the Cleveland org? If that's true why was he released from Cleveland?

    He's played mostly catcher in his career, Tampa had Loney at 1b last year. That's my only explanation for it. I couldn't see him being terrible there even if he wasn't the greatest defensive catcher.

    Jaso would be pretty neat, has hit in a ton of bad parks and could be your emergency catcher.

    This makes a lot of sense, i think Pompey is in any deal involving Freeman though because he's our depth.

    Well you obviously have to believe in there mechanics/ability to stay healthy. Carrasco has been a bit injury prone, some of it bad luck(hit in the head last year). Salazar has been fine though. It's a risky trade from both sides, which is why it wouldn't happen.

    I think your underestimating how much money Donaldson will get in arb. Carrasco you have 5 years of cheap control. Salazar you have 3-4 years of control, that is a lot of control over two frontline pitchers. You will also have money to replace Donald at 3rd base. Anyways this will never happen lol.

    The kid goes opposite field, hits a ton of line drives, runs well, played to many games hurt. He's likely to have a pretty high babip like he did in the minors.

    Donaldson starting to make money. Carrasco and Salazar are both pretty awesome with a ton of upside, I'd do it.

    I think that would be a pretty easy move for the jays to make.
