  1. There are situations where a pitcher should not want contact yes.
  2. K, do you want Stroman to start throwing more sliders to get those k's? Because that will bring his k's up but put tons of pressure on his arm.
  3. There is absolutely nothing wrong with pitching to contact, you save pitches in game and throughout your career.
  4. That's a pretty good chunk of change left
  5. No trade clause for both so stop. Greinke was pretty young when he was traded no?
  6. You win a world series with them this year, then QO both and maybe get a deal done with one of them.
  7. He also forgot about Willy Adames.
  8. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/baseball/anthopoulos-bafflingly-allowed-to-leave-jays-in-search-of-right-fit/article27040359/ Seems to me Shapiro doesn't trust AA. My question to Mr. Shapiro is why? He made huge saber friendly moves and you don't trust him Mr.Shapiro? He tells him he gave to many prospects up. First of all, those prospects were all the ones who had flaws to the organization, so if the new saber friendly front office deems them expendable, im with them. Secondly all those selling of prospects to acquire wins, gave the Blue Jays a great run and Rogers a ton of money. So basically FYSMC Rogers/Shapiro.
  9. Because he seems obsessed with prospects. He seems to be a process man, but im not sure he knows the actual process of a perennial contending team.
  10. Eddy, Tulo, and Bautista can't be traded. So your looking at Donaldson, Revere, and Martin as your trade chips, in this apparent rebuild mode we're in now.
  11. Or he didn't want to be associated with the moves Shapiro is about to make.
  12. So just forget all the good he did last year? Did you not enjoy it? Clown.....
  13. The timing is perfect for him to win a World Series next year. If he doesn't make the few right moves needed to push the club in that direction... he will be a failure in my eyes.
  14. He's a ground ball machine broski, the k's will come in a bit.
  15. Good fielder, has the fastball/change combo for weak contact. 4-5 plus pitches. Give the guy a full spring training and he should come out on fire next year.
  16. Be warned, Stroman is a FIP beater.
  17. Im sorry you don't like my opinion, you obviously have yours as you should. Pompey has a ton of value on the trade market, that's why I think he and Goins were going to be the two pieces moved for pitchers. I think he's a really good athlete, with some decent instincts. He needs to be more assertive and focused in the outfield. Use the whole field a bit more with his speed. I question if his negative personality will allow him to make adjustments to become that star that some of you guys already think he is.
  18. Only people who don't believe in the farm say that. I think they are developing pretty well right now.
  19. Who cares if AA's puppets are gone, the guy who was making the FINAL decisions is gone. That's scary.
  20. Im not sure, i can't tell you blind lucky things.
  21. Shapiro better be attacking this offseason, that's all i can say. This team is ready to win this year.
  22. And also the fact he can't play CF. He's a corner.
  23. Shapiro is going to love Pompey, the Jays were going to trade Pompey this offseason because they know that he's soft inside and will never meet his potential.
