JP Ricciardi would have been trading first round picks for the Brad Wilkersons of the world. Draft pick trading is great when you're GETTING the picks, but when your GM trades 3 picks for Phil Kessel, maybe you should be against that sort of thing.

I'm mostly okay with Pillar and Carrera as OF depth, it's not an area I'd want to spend money on (unless it's minor league free agency. Minor league free agents for DAYS...). -

Frankly, I'm surprised he didn't jump on one of the flamethrowers in the rule 5 and see if that s*** could stick to the wall... I assume Navarro will be moved, and probably for relief help, but Arizona, who have the most glaring need at C for someone like Navarro, don't want to trade relief pitching for some reason... Basically, I haven't got a f***ing clue is what I'm saying.

I really don't think he does. He hasn't shown the ability to do so above AA. And we have enough SLG on this team, I am more than okay with an OBP focused 2B... We all love Goins' glove at 2B, but he's got to contribute something with the bat to earn a starting role, and he has simply not shown that he can do that.
