  2. Waiver claim, then non-tendered. Bringing him back much cheaper (sort of like with Smoak, except no spot on the 40 man roster...)
  3. http://www.ottawasun.com/2015/01/13/bedard-hoping-to-keep-pitching I'd be totally down with him on a minor league deal with an invite to spring training. That last part may have been a recording...
  4. I think I may have broken Spanky's brain by posting that thing...

  6. So... Minor league deal wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, right? http://calltothepen.com/2015/01/13/can-ex-boston-red-sox-reliever-daniel-bard-go-back-time/
  7. BWA-HA-HA! Though, mine wasn't one of those new fangled "moving pictures" like yours...
  8. No, that's a real thing... http://geekologie.com/2008/08/worlds-largest-digging-machine.php

  10. Just slap this thing in the middle of the Rogers Centre, problem solved: http://geekologie.com/2008/08/19/trencher-1.jpg
  11. For $3 a month, I will send you a baggie of my own poop once a week (shipping+handling extra, obviously). I think my deal is much better...
  12. I've never met a minor league deal with an invite to spring training that I didn't like... Hell, sign Hitler to a minor league deal with an invite to spring training and I'd be happy!
  13. Such whiny toolbags, still mad at Cito and the imaginary man in white...
  14. I'm really hopeful for Infante to make an appearance this season, I think he could be a surprise guy outta the pen... I would be down, as long as it was with the understanding that he's not here for the closer role. (I'm sort of hoping they actually do the smart thing and don't have a "closer", just use the right guys in the highest leverage situations be it the 9th or earlier (or later, I suppose...)
  15. Yep, the best part of that deal for the Jays was getting rid of Farrell though, the craftyness was just too much. But... Not only was the return Aviles (meh) but we had to send a semi-decent (at the time) reliever as a part of the package to even get the meh return!
  16. MLB will look very unfavourably on the Orioles should they limit promotion opportunities... The precedent is there in Epstein and Farrell, and the return will be fairly low (Jenkins, Drabek, Davis, maybe Goins if AA is comfortable starting the year with Travis/Izturis).
  17. It's a well known fact that us men with long hair are the most virile, straightest men of the lot.
  18. Because Duquette is clearly the best executive to ever leave a baseball team, so they must get clearly the best return, by a factor of at least 100!
  19. Can't be that old, if you're talking average team age, Red Sox were the oldest in the league last year... http://www.statista.com/statistics/236223/major-league-baseball-clubs-by-average-age-of-players/ Edit: I'm assuming this is more current: http://espn.go.com/mlb/stats/rosters/_/sort/average_age/order/true
  20. I hope Selig's last act as commissioner is to literally let the door hit him on the ass on the way out...
  21. Is it just me, or do the "Ortiz, Victorino, Pedroia, Ramirez, Sandoval" featuring Red Sox seem shockingly out of place on that list?
  22. That site is full of the most delightfully clueless idiots.
  23. They artificially forced the price down, the building (and location) are worth significantly more than that.
