    Agree that the FO thought JS would be a better fit for the team. Just like a player, if the front office and manager thinks a bench player is better than a starter then the "bench player" gets the playing time.

    Afternoon game back in the first season vs Boston, phoned in sick into work since a baseball game excuse wouldn't fly with my foreman. Little did I know I would run into my foreman at the game who legitimately took time off. Got into work the next day just to "get ripped a new now one"...........the kicker was the game was rained out!

    They did say that but wondering if they are playing possum for the Yankees but I rather error on side of caution too be honest!

    ^ Loved the centrefield in old Forbes Field, Green Monster (not so much Pensky Pole) Just dont give me the 70's style of Riverfront and Three Rivers and the such. If walls are closer than usually then add height or something along those lines. Of course all parks gets approval from MLB so nothing would be too far fetched.

    Only issues with Raimel in the outfield is his decisions on his throwing...wrong base and/or overthrowing the cutoff man.

    Yeah...should have has him in with Jansen. Point still stands...it's nice to be playing well with the supposed strength not firing on all cylinders.

    Bo, Teoscar, Kirk hasn't started hitting yet, Jansen is hurt and Springer has been ok. Would be nice ro get them going to ease the late innings bullpen by Mayza and Romano. But struggling with an underperforming lineup and winning games you probably shouldn't has been a trademark for rhe Jays opponents (namely Tampa and Boston last yr).

    I wonder if there is any analytics that the effectiness of a change of pace pitching is more affective with pitching faster then slower? I would suspect pitching quicker would be far more affective.

    Not sure if this has happened in the past or maybe some planning now due to some outfield manpower/performance issues but Samad Taylor is starting in the outfield today for the Bisons. Maybe it's just moving around an asset from a loaded position to an position of organization need.

    How often will the Jays need a power hitter in the late innings looking for a bomb compared to needing a pinch runner, good glove with versatility? I suspect the later 10x + more than needing a bomb. Really is a no brainer.

    For what it's worth....this signing could just be something in Atkins back pocket if Kirk gets traded to fill a weakness or injury. I doubt Fowler will see any outfield but is just signed as a switching hitting DH.

    I assume everyone who wants Walker fired or suspended would feel the same for a friend or a sibling of yours?.... Maybe some counselling will be required and move on from there. This is coming from a guy that alcoholism ran through my family and been a tea-totaller for most of my adult life!

    If Chapman has the same percentage bump in his HRs from going from Oakland to Toronto as Semien he'll have 49 HRs. I'm sure the stadiums has a large part to it as does the lineup and where he bats.

    So Story could keep Sale and Paxton company on the IR..might as well go for the trifecta! ��

    For a outfielder who bats left and still in his prime who no one really has brought up here (probably due to inner division not so much rival) is Cedric Mullins. CM would probably cost a Chapman ++ haul for the O's but it would get Springer over to right and gets really good LH bat. This would free up Randal G for a trade and maybe even Teoscar or Lourdes to tighten up another position or bring in some more pitching prospects (hello Miami) and a second baseman??
