  1. The only thing I don't like is this probably puts Smoak even further from cracking the lineup when I think he is ready to be a huge bat for the team. But it is the Phillips so maybe they traded Revere for Colabello.
  2. Other organization's probably feel the same we edo about Sanchez sadly.
  3. Hasn't he trashed Toronto a few times? Was price the one that made the looney comment? Don't remember.
  4. Sincerely believe AA is true to his word when he says he will do what he thinks is best for the organization, weather his job is on the line or not.
  5. Deal makes me uncomfortable but since I honestly believe a winning team could snowball into a much higher payroll, I am for the trade and going for it. I feel our organizational can benefit even more than most from success.
  6. Organizational is great at getting people to hype their prospects for them.
  7. My God it would have been sweet to have him be a guy used to get a good player. Sadly baseball organization's are getting too smart.
  8. So who thinks we stop here? AA was saying he had balls in the air for another position player as well.
  9. It is pretty bad giving up Norris for 11 starts of another pitcher but... maybe worth the try. Playoffs could really help the organizational at this point.
  10. Yay no Alford. Although Labourt is good it definitely softens things a bit.
  11. No. Why would he risk that? He will get a huge deal, what does he have to gain on a 1 year deal? A few extra million at the risk of getting injured or regressing? No way.
  12. This is true, but this is also the normal course for many great pitchers. A lot take a bit longer than expected. He does not have the ceiling of Hoffman but still, both those players should have a lot of prospect value.
  13. Ugh eff it. I know it is not a great deal but I will just enjoy it. Why not? AA will rebuild the farm again. We are getting Price! Go Jays.
  14. We had a chance this year without price in my opinion and pieces to carry through after 2 years into a sustained streak, but now it is 2 year window.
  15. Stupid deal. Panic deal. GM just talked about how he wouldn't really be comfortable giving up a lot for 10 or 11 starts.
  16. I like going for it but Norris is too much for a rental. No chance we extend Price in my opinion.
  17. I'd take Halladay over Price in their primes any day.
  18. Ugh we always want to go for it but come on. Just revisit the Carrasco deal and give them what they want. Could it really be much more than Alford and Norris?
  19. Norris and Alford would be stupid. I have always liked AA and believed in him. That would be ridiculous though.
  20. I have always supported AA, though questioning some moves, but giving up both Alford and Norris would be dumb unless AA is almost sure, for whatever reason, that Norris will fall below expectations.
  21. One thing we can take solace in is that AA has twice now been able to build up the farm system from crap to great in just a couple years. GM playing to his own strength. But ugh.
  22. Other rentals have gone pretty reasonably but one of Alford Pompey or Norris will be gone and I think any are too much for a rental.
  23. Other teams seem to be getting rentals cheaply but if thus is getting done this quickly I am scared to see what we gave up. I hate the idea of rentals. Obviously AA has talked about their "equation" to see if it is worth it and never seems keen on rentals, so we can only hope it isn't too bad.
  24. Have we given up on trading Navarro?
