It's Sanchez and had things not gone down to the wire, it would have been his start with Dickey pitching today. The wrinkle here is that Baltimore is really bad against lefties so maybe the best plan B is to throw a lefty out there.
You're probably right but I like the idea of using Stroman to reinforce the bullpen (similar to how Sanchez was used last year). Liriano has been excellent our of the rotation lately so I don't think you lose that much there. Your way seems more likely to happen.

Easy to say with hindsight but I don't hate what Gibby did there. Tonight aside, Pillar is pretty s*** and playing for the big inning against Kimbrel probably leaves you with nothing at all.
