    Well I still consider it an improvement. My instinct is to take the mouse top left for navigation because in the browser that's there the forward and back buttons are.

    Yeah there might have been money for a reliever (singular) but certainly not for all the relievers that Houston signed unless Rogers was willing to go over last year's budget.

    Well a large chunk of the Astros pen was acquired through free agency this off-season. So you might make the arguement that the Jays could have had the Astros pen if they had wanted to.

    Seems to me that he barely gets brought up at all. I hear a lot more about the pitchers that got away then I ever do about Rasmus. I think everyone understood that he had to go regardless of the possibity that he might bounce back.

    No, not really. He's a switch hitter which could be seen as a positive but as a bench player you could very easily prefer someone with a strong split rather than a jack of all trades, master of none.

    Biggest issue with Izturis is that he doesn't play ss anymore greatly reducing any value he might have as a backup and he's very unlikely (nor deserving really) to get another shot at a starting gig.

    I'd like to package Nate Karns and an outfielder (Denard Span, Logan Morrison or Austin Jackson) for a single player. Failing that I'd like to open up a roster spot using one of the OFs.

    So what's your counter argument? Why ISN'T he the best rhp prospect?

    It's my understanding that the Jays asked "what do you want for Dickey?" and the Mets basically named their price which was Synder, D'Arnaud and Becerra. I'm not aware that Sanchez ever entered the discussion. There's no mention of any Sanchez discussion in Great Expectations.

    That's a no brainer. The opportunity to throw Synder in the rotation immediately justifies giving up Hoffman.

    Which would be acceptable if the team has made the playoffs but the team went all in and lost and now the prospect capital is starting to come back to haunt us. Not just the Mets gusy but also a lot of the Marlins guys are doing well (though ironically with other teams) and even some of the Happ guys are threatening to become "something".
