  1. He'll need more twitter followers for that to happen
  2. I wouldn't mind Doc as a back of the rotation guy either. He couldn't be worse than some of the guys we've been trotting out there and maybe his presence would add a little bit of accountability to the team
  3. We should have a little game to see if Pillar can get more hits in a month and a half than JPA has walked all year.
  4. "I'm so sorry for the mistakes I've made in the past. Blah years ago I took injections of blah blah in order to boost my performance to get a massive contract that would set my family and I for life. It was selfish, and I want to apologize to the my teammates, the blah organization, Major League Baseball, but most importantly the fans. I'm going to use this opportunity to teach up-and-coming ballplayers that they should play the game the right, clean way."
  5. I don't blame him for being upset, I would be too.
  6. I wonder why he did that. At least then the Blue Jays would pay for his medical care.
  7. I think everyone wants a bunch of guys in their early to mid 20s making absolutely nothing (comparably) who put up all star numbers so we can build a dynasty for years to come. However that's pretty much impossible to do. I really do believe that the key to success is what AA was trying to do: build a farm system, use great farm system to supply players to the Blue Jays from call ups or trades, repeat. I think we just got unlucky with the Dickey trade.
  8. Melky doesn't need his respect. He's a better player.
  9. Yes. Lie. Lie big. JPA has been one of the best catchers in the league for the few years he's been in the bigs. Lind has been one of the top 1st basemen in the American League since 2006. I understand that nobody likes to be criticized but if they didn't want to be in the spot light they should just retire from playing and start coaching or something. Or analyzing I'd be interested on what they would say about a catcher who can't hit or provide decent defense or a first baseman who has underperformed much of his career. I'm going to guess that they'd say the same thing has Zaun and Hayhurst.
  10. I wish I was living in his world. Make believe land is so much more fun than reality.
  11. Haha I know. It just seems like it's all over the place today.
  12. Does anyone know where this strikezone begins and ends?
  13. Why should he? In his mind he's the perfect catcher.
  14. I could care less if he can hit the ball far. As long as he controls the strike zone, can hit for decent contact, and plays better than average defense I'd be all for giving him the job. We have a catcher right now that all he has is home run power, and pretty much everyone wants to get rid of him.
  15. I'd guess it's because Bautista came out of nowhere, where as Davis was a fairly highly touted prospect (just like someone above said). So when Bautista figured it out it seemed more likely that he had to have had help because he came out of nowhere.
  16. Can't see the game on TV so I only have GameDay. I thought that it was a mistake!
  17. Post game Tweet: Wang goes down after quick outing
  18. Haaaaaaa. I'm gay and I can tell you I think my "behaviour" should be promoted. I want to work hard, earn money, meet a decent guy who I love and who will love me, settle down, start a family, and be an accepted part of the community. That doesn't really sound "liberal," it sounds pretty much like the 1950s to me. Someone should write in the Sheldon Coopers Fun with Flags to see if flags influence people. It would be interesting to find out.
  19. True. However I wouldn't be as upset if it was an 8 or 9 pitch strikeout compared to lets say a 3 pitch swing-and-miss-a-thon that JPA tends to go for.
