    Any idea what the Twins are doing? It seems that they are in on Arroyo too. I get that their rotation was horrible last year but they already added Nolasco and Hughes. Their offense wasn't anything to write home about either.

    I imagine because they didn't want to pay for his treatments. I remember Hayhurst commended the Blue Jays for not releasing him when he got injured so he didn't have to pay for the treatments to get him healthy. I don't know if it's the same situation but that's what I'd guess.

    It was a 1 hour contract with a club option for a second hour. The club doesn't give out more than a 5 hour one day contract. Club policy.

    No, I don't see them getting him. He'll be "too expensive" and he is a Boras guy, which means that he will be avoided at all costs.

    Yeah, I've been reading that. I find it amusing that from what I read JackieZ seems like an arrogant d-bag. The best business people aren't the smartest people, they are the ones that know that there are people smarter than them, and you get those people to surround you. You're just the one that puts it all together.

    I get that, and I am by no means an armchair GM, but stuff like this makes me think that I could do a better job at constructing a roster than JackieZ.

    I have no idea what's going on here. The M's only really have depth at one position and they sign someone to fill that position, displacing all of their depth to either other positions, the minors, or to some other team. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    Even if he did put it all together and was a serviceable backup catcher, how long of a leash does a backup catcher who shoots his mouth off at a moments notice get?

    I, for one, don't give a damn how much Roger's has to spend to get a WS banner in Toronto. If AA makes great moves and spends $30 million or spends $200 million as long as we get a championship I don't care. Tanaka would certainly help get to that goal!

    I think he's saying that if all it would have taken to get him to sign with us was a minor league deal we shoulda pursued him because Reyes seems to get injured... a lot.

    You can't really argue the fact that this guy continuously gets a players monetary worth or more from teams. It seems like the man could take any player and get top dollar for him. Imagine if he was JPA's agent.

    Gose has perceived attitude issues. He is not solely team oriented and therefore not a true Cardinal.
