  1. Yes. I mean it's always bad when the Jays play there, but this was something special.
  2. That was seriously one of the worst umpired games I've ever seen.
  3. Exactly. I've been saying that. The Jays aren't competing against some mythical perfect team, or the 1998 Yankees or something..they're competing against the other teams in the ALE. And it's a very flawed division right now. The run differentials indicate that the Jays currently being in first is not really a fluke.
  4. Yeah that's what slumps always look like. And then teams come out of it. *shrug*
  5. Hey guys, we could get Tim Collins and maybe even Jarrod Dyson, and all it will cost us is Bautista:
  6. So how much are the Jays losing by? I'm assuming at least five.
  7. Minnesota and Baltimore have bad pitching. If there's a time to forget last series and get the bats going again, it's now.
  8. One big difference right now is the division really is s***. There's no powerhouse team or teams that are just going to storm past the Jays, leaving them in the dust. Like this: The Jays have never been in this position in the last 20 years...leading the AL East by 5.5 games, and with the other teams so thoroughly mediocre. They really can do this.
  9. The AL East right now is 10 wins under .500 with a -67 run differential. I'm still shocked by how quickly it turned. I mean just last year the division finished with about 53 wins over .500 and a +220 run diff. or something like that.
  10. Supposed to be a bigger crowd tomorrow...maybe more of a shutout? Actually no. I believe the Jays will beat up on Hi-me Gar-see-uh
  11. I want to see what happens when he starts facing teams a second time. He's made 11 starts against 10 different teams. But he's been annoyingly good so far. New York is I think 20-24 in all non-Tanaka starts.
  12. good lord
  13. Oh god I remember that game. Listened to the end on the radio though. What did Jamie do?
  14. This is one of those games that just fester. Good thing there's a game tomorrow. Win the next one and this starts to fade into history.
  15. Janssen's pitched a lot lately. Could probably use a couple of days. You know..give him a bit of a blow, as Tabler would say.
  16. Yankees win in extras. No help on the out of town scoreboard today.
  17. Heh. Wouldn't it be funny if this thread started a streak where Boston wins like 8 in a row, and the Jays lose that many? What are the odds. That would never happen though. Nope. Nooooo waaayyyyyyy....
  18. Okay, so with Baltimore pulling the trick today, in the last five days, three AL East teams have been trailing down to their last out and come back to win. That's kind of annoying.
  19. Yeah it's shaking off the catcher. That commercial is probably the best of the three. Lawrie's tattoo one is just awkward, and the other Dickey one just sort of peters out without a resolution or punchline. It's weird.
  20. They're terrible. The worst might be that Lawrie tattoo one.
  21. Hope this guy becomes our '2005 Aaron Small on the Yankees' for us...
