    This all comes back to poor scouting/roster management/inability to make changes mid-stream. And what really bothers me is that this isn't just some one time thing - we're talking about what...at least 2 years where this team won 73, 74 and this year maybe 78 if they keep playing 0.406 baseball? EVERY year you can make an excuse for injuries and under performing but at some point somebody has to be held responsible with their job(s).

    I really agree solely because AA has shown to me that he just doesn't get it, and will continue to make the same mistakes of roster management that he has before. His inability to evaluate talent properly and missed trade opportunities...dude has too many built in excuses. It's time to move on.

    I remember AA saying "trades still happen in August so I expect activity". Well he wasn't lying - he just neglected to mention he wouldn't be part of any of those transactions.

    Interesting that you mentioned Matt Kemp. He's been on fiyah in July (.325/.419/.475) and heard his swing is a lot better of late suggesting he's feeling healthy fwiw. I'd be down with that.

    If AA claims that taking on salary is not a problem and he feels confident with management backing him - he pretty much MUST do a deal before August 31st. I think after his comments yesterday he's used up his reasoning why he couldn't do a deal before/on July 31st so it's time for him to show up and do something that helps this team now.

    This guy planned to bypass the non-waiver trade deadline from JUMP. AA had zero intentions of doing deals by today unless it fell into his lap.

    Okay so guys - we can't take on any money. Are we realistically just looking to play out the rest of the season with what we have? What kind of record is needed at this point to save AA and Gibby? Or is it already pre-determined these guys are gonna be fired short of making the playoffs? Sounds like even going into next year our payroll constraints will hamper us until some of the bigger contracts expire or get traded.
