    Depending on what the Pirates want, we should absolutely be checking in on McCutchen. Coming off a down year, cost controlled, still viable defensively. Then dump a bunch of money at EE, grab a couple of decent relievers for your 8th and 7th, and we're good to go for another 3 year run at this.

    Wow....going with the "I have no idea how this happened" statement. He'd have gotten a lot more respect at this moment if he had come clean. He's been scraping to get by through International Leagues, Minor Leagues, Winter Ball... He needed an edge to keep his job and did something incredibly stupid and risky but some people can understand that. When he tries to back track now it'll be too late. Bello is done.

    I actually am an advocate to get Reddick. I do believe Bautista will be gone and Reddick won't provide what Bautista will, but he'll be cheaper, younger bat. Hitting lefty doesn't hurt either in a right dominate lineup, and I think he'll take to our fanbase and visa versa. Oh, and having his buddy Donaldson here doesn't hurt either.

    Voted mediocre. I'm not sold on the rotation (depth is fine but I prefer more higher ceiling guys) or on Saunders. Only Thole being the backup is terrible. At least the bullpen looks better so we'll see.

    This team isn't about handing out contracts to aging stars, no matter how well they've done for the organization. They'll let both Bautista and Encarnation walk and try to build this team with other pieces for their next window - approx 2 - 4 years from now. Great..... Bautista - $125 over 4 years. Player opt out after 2nd year. Bonus $75,000 per All Star appearance. Encarnation - $125 over 5 years. No trade clause.
