  1. They both will be gone. Book it. EDIT: The Jays will say that they thank them for all that they've done for the organization and then another team will come in and offer either EE or Bautista a better contract with more $ or more years and they'll take it. The problem is that the front office won't make any real effort to replace the produckshun that both guys give you, hedging their bets guys like Donaldson, Tulo, Martin and Travis can do the job. Hmmmm....sure. So in 2017 when we're not scoring as many runs as in 2016, but our mediocre SP lead with Stroman, Estrada and Happ is still giving up 4ish plus runs a game - how are we gonna make the playoffs again? Answer - we won't. And so begins the rebuild for the next 3 - 4 years to get a cost controlled, effective rotation like the Indians. Which isn't cool but if that's what we're gonna do... Just trying to mentally get prepared for the downslide that is about to begin.
  2. Greeaatt..... We'll see if our "more than adequate" SP holds up through the season.
  3. I'm also a father of 3 (2 girls - Skylar and Lyric) and 1 boy (Tyson). Congrats dude - welcome to my hell! Hahaha - just playin. I'm sure you guys will be fine (and it's not really that bad) Voting for Miles as well (flows nice with the other 2)
  4. They'll re-sign Revere with the idea of flipping him in the trade (or as insurance if they make a trade). My prediction.
  5. 'Fraid not Seems like she's trolling
  6. I would vote yes it's a good trade with the stipulations that another trade and /or a free agent to essentially be a better #2 then I personally don't give a shot about payroll flexibility. I want a ring
  7. If this is it for the rotation, I'm gonna yack.
  8. v Dipoto is trading away guys who he has no attachment to. Drew+ ? Anybody for or against Walker?
  9. Single game tickets for 2016 go on sale through all ticket channels on February 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., while renewals for existing Season Ticket and Flex Pack holders starts on November 19. New Flex Pack sales will begin on November 23, and Group Sales and Luxury Suite sales will commence on November 25. Complete information on promotions, events and 2016 ticket pricing can be found at bluejays.com. If you're gonna juice tickets price, re-invest it in the MLB club for this year. That's all I ask.
  10. Pretty sweet article on Jordan Zimmerman (via Jays Journal) http://jaysjournal.com/2015/11/16/blue-jays-free-agent-target-jordan-zimmermann/
  11. You guys think there's any chance Votto is available? Cot's Baseball has his contract as such 10 years/$225M (2014-23), plus 2024 club option signed extension with Cincinnati 4/3/12 14:$12M, 15:$14M, 16:$20M, 17:$22M, 18-23:$25M annually, 24:$20M club option ($7M buyout) award bonuses, including $75,000 for All-Star selection full no-trade clause If Cincy is looking to unload a contract like his, maybe the prospects going back wouldn't be as much?
  12. 11.5 M for 2016, 14.5 M for 2017 as reported by Davidi

  14. Not really on-topic but my nephew did a great job I thought I'd share. On-topic: I'd prefer a budget around $150 plus. A significant increase in payroll with money well spent on incoming talent is what can continue our growth in the fan base. I'd just hate to miss out on players due to some financial constraints. The revenue income between concessions, television, merchandise, etc... Re-invest it! That's what people wanna see.
  15. I literally was thinking the same thing. Watch AA trade back Donaldson with him when he goes to Miami.
  16. Sportsnet just went live with Davidi and Campbell.
  17. I can't believe the Royals in 2014 including the playoffs went 157 - 4 when leading after the 7th inning. That is an insane stat.

  19. Wishlist - Chris Davis. MURDER'S ROW.
  20. Appeal or not, we're gonna need Sanchez during the Yankees series so however games he miss hopefully it doesn't overlap into those upcoming games.
  21. I'm all about picking up Shields in the August waiver. Also would still like K-Rod to have an actual bonafide closer. Sorry - not trying to high jack thread but IF Osuna is going into the rotation next year and it has: SP Shields SP Stroman SP Sanchez SP Osuna SP ??? you're gonna need to fill in bullpen holes. Rodriguez remaining salary: 2015: $3.5M, 2016: $7.5M, 2017: $6M Club Option ($2M buyout) K-Rod also has 10 series playoff experience (5-4, 3 SV, 2.95 ERA, 1.3 WHIP) Speaking of which James Shields playoffs record in 11 games: 3-6, 5.46 ERA, 1.5 WHIP BUT I would still take them both. Side Note: I'm sure Shields would love to stick it to Kansas City if we made the playoffs and he had to face them. The storyline alone just helps make a potential series with the Royals must see.
  22. ...and we still kept Loup? Geebus.
