Speaking of lefties, curious. What's the most you would give up for Skubal? And assuming he was made available, whats the most you'd give up for Yordan? And would you include Yesavage in a package if necessary? -

I think the Jays have enough to make a reasonable offer for Marte but I don't think they want a reasonable offer, they want to be blown away. Also I believe I read that they mostly want pitching back for him. I don't think many would trade Yesavage for him, straight up. And they'd probably ask for Yesavage ++

I like this take on Bo because I like him and want it to be true. But something about him reminds me of Adam Jones. Probably not a good comp, I'm not really good at comps. But still just feels right. High average hacker, plays a premium position despite not really being very good at it. Low walk rate. Low steals despite being at a position that is often manned by pretty fast players. Jones had his last good season at 29, ok at 30, and pretty much a wrap after that. I think overall Bo is a better player, but is it really by much? Always feels like he's about to just fall off a cliff. If that hit tool slips at all he's kind of a nothing. Am I way off here?

I'm pretty high on Yesavage, but cmon. I think most would be thrilled if he put up a 3.5-4 WAR season next year. And even with the contract the ask for Tatis is gonna be insane. Like Barger, Nimmala, Jo Jo Parker, and probably ++. Probablly too much, unless they're gonna eat some cash. That said, he's one of a few guys that's probably worth nuking the farm for.

His recent performances have probably colored my opinion a bit too much, because it feels to me like Scherzer is washed and just has nothing left to contribute. That said, given his history with the Tigers, should they advance it would be really cool to see him have success against them and in Detroit and help us bury them. -

This game sucked, I'm gutted. But we could have lost the first 2 and still won the series eventually. Instead we won the first 2 and a stinker or 2 doesn't kill us. Obviously I wanted the sweep here but now we gotta win 1 game and they gotta win 2. I like our chances. Who knows, maybe we'll sweep the next series when we're done stuffing these turkeys
