Can't remember if it was Bowman, Sampson or whoever on Blair and Barker said that James Wood or Cj Abrams could potentially be traded because they'll never be able to come to terms on extensions with them. But after hearing that, the pie in the sky situation to start next season... Bateman - CF Vladdy - 1B Wood - LF Suzuki - RF Santander - DH Kirk - C Okamoto - 3B Clement - 2B Gimenez - SS Free agent pitcher to help replace Yesavage who is traded in a pretty monster package to acquire Wood. And possibly bring back Gaus or Bieber Dare to dream... lol

Assuming Washington was willing to trade one of Wood or Abrams to us for what we have to offer. AND we could sign one of Suzuki or Brandon Lowe. Which 2 guys would you take?
  3. Gen.Disarray
Ding ding ding! Nailed it, unfortunately...

Yeah this is the dream. But I think we all know he's going to change nothing and we all just cross our fingers that somehow it works out. I mean, he said, and this almost verbatim, "I'm just going to rest and then work with my coaches like usual for next season ". Ugh We have to just hope that the org can put enough talent around him to succeed despite him. He's pretty great about once every 3 seasons, so hopefully they can acquire some real offensive talent and one of his good years happens during a fortuitous year, all around. Like last season. That said he was more good than great last season, other than his unreal playoff performance.

Maybe he has a good season right before expansion. We leave him unprotected and some new team says "f*** it" and picks him up? Is that dreamy enough?

Tied for biggest shut out victory since 1888. 1888! Lol

What would "backing the truck up" for Yordan even look like, given that he's not free agent til 2029? They'd never trade him short of a package that, half of which, would burn your eyes out.

You could argue hitting a bunch of balls to the warning track is actually a good thing, or at least a sign of good power generally. I would guess we're 25th or worse in this particular stat, should it exist

    Man, I wish I could

So last June Atkins seeing the writing on the wall... Ross - Satan if you're listening, I'd like to make a deal. Satan appears Satan - You rang? Ross - It's not looking good for me. Just get me to the world series, you can do whatever you want to us next season. Season ending surgeries for multiple pitchers, anything. Satan - Done! *mutters under breath* Should've asked to win it all... Ross - What? Satan - Oooh nothing. I'm off to see a *checks brimstone scented request list* Mr. Ponce. See you next year. Hahhahahhahahhaha... Fin

Do you think they've reached the releiver or bust stage with Tiedemann? Or do they keep trying to push him as an eventual starting option?
  12. Gen.Disarray
Gahd damnit yesssss. Just got the kids to sleep on time to come out for 2nd and 3rd no outs..... magic
  13. Gen.Disarray
Speaking of lefties, curious. What's the most you would give up for Skubal? And assuming he was made available, whats the most you'd give up for Yordan? And would you include Yesavage in a package if necessary?
  14. Gen.Disarray
I can only laugh. Like cmon...
  15. Gen.Disarray
    Lol f***
  16. Gen.Disarray
How would y'all feel about 9 for $350mil?
  17. Gen.Disarray
I think the Jays have enough to make a reasonable offer for Marte but I don't think they want a reasonable offer, they want to be blown away. Also I believe I read that they mostly want pitching back for him. I don't think many would trade Yesavage for him, straight up. And they'd probably ask for Yesavage ++

I like this take on Bo because I like him and want it to be true. But something about him reminds me of Adam Jones. Probably not a good comp, I'm not really good at comps. But still just feels right. High average hacker, plays a premium position despite not really being very good at it. Low walk rate. Low steals despite being at a position that is often manned by pretty fast players. Jones had his last good season at 29, ok at 30, and pretty much a wrap after that. I think overall Bo is a better player, but is it really by much? Always feels like he's about to just fall off a cliff. If that hit tool slips at all he's kind of a nothing. Am I way off here?

I'm pretty high on Yesavage, but cmon. I think most would be thrilled if he put up a 3.5-4 WAR season next year. And even with the contract the ask for Tatis is gonna be insane. Like Barger, Nimmala, Jo Jo Parker, and probably ++. Probablly too much, unless they're gonna eat some cash. That said, he's one of a few guys that's probably worth nuking the farm for.
  20. Gen.Disarray
    Um, wtf is this?
  21. Gen.Disarray
I can't believe how much this hurts
  22. Gen.Disarray
I'd do unspeakable things for Barger to jack one here
  23. Gen.Disarray
    Please find a way
  24. Gen.Disarray
    Guys....
  25. Gen.Disarray
