  1. Hell with the Rays games we still had people posting and those were big blowouts.
  2. And these GDT's are dead now. It's already the dog days of summer circa 2012.
  3. Just tuned in to the game guys. How is Jimmy Paredes doing?
  4. Should we do another Jimmy Paredes over/under today? I have a feeling he's going to have a big game.
  5. Ryan Webb barely escaped with his life after he faced Jimmy Paredes.
  6. Oh don't be such a scrooge! I'm getting lots of bites on them. I was going to drop it but Jimmy Paredes has been ripping the ball in his 5 ABs since I started. I was going to stop today but this wacky lineup has Jimmy Paredes playing 2B so I couldn't resist. He also has a non-zero chance to be a decent player IMO. He's going to have hit the ball hard and do it often given those piss poor K and BB ratios but J.D. Martinez, Trevor Story, etc. have shown us a blueprint for that. But hey, if you think the jokes suck (and they probably do) don't worry there will still be plenty of room here for you to cook up trade offers for every individual player on our team during what you hope becomes a 5 year rebuild!
  7. Goins definitely getting sent down went Travis is back. Jimmy Paredes stole his spot in the lineup.
  8. Geezus how much better does that lineup look without Goins in it? Pillar at #9? That lineup just looks better if anything. Plus, it's got Jimmy Paredes in it.
  9. He has plenty of times. That doesn't mean he can though. lol EDIT: Just looked and Paredes played more games at 2B in the minors than he did at any other position. He's worth giving a shot vs righties over Goins though.
  10. Jimmy Paredes' bat cannot be kept out of the lineup. But in all seriousness I like this lineup.
  11. Dickey is annoying to watch pitch. And we gave up Syndergaard to get him. lol And he also requires that we carry Thole. So I get why people hate him. But he's not a bad pitcher. He's an excellent #5 SP.
  12. He's not a pet project. The guy is as consistent as they come. If the Jays try to retool I'd resign him and put him in the rotation again. Then hope Sanchez continues to have a big year and deal him for a cheap controllable position player. Something like that could work well for us.
  13. He's annoying as f*** to watch pitch but the guy is a very legit backend SP. Hell, forget 7 mil let's lowball him. Offer him Like 5 mil with an option/buyout.
  14. I think we should resign Dickey. Offer him 7 million right now and see if he accepts. Just get a better backup C than Thole.
  15. Braves are -68 and the Reds are -72. Some really s***** teams this year.
  16. Yeah they are pathetic. -67 RD. The Twins are either the remedy for what ails us or they are the "abort signal" on what's likely to become a very long season.
  17. This is hilarious. Coming up with trades for every single player on the team when our playoff odds stand at 26%. That said, if we s*** the bed against the 10-29 Twins I'll join in.
  18. Yikes. Not only throwing the towel in on this season but the next 4-5 after as well?
  19. C might suck balls but it could also be 2 WAR. 2B and SS could both be 3 WAR. 3B could be 7 WAR. CF at 4 WAR. RF 2 WAR. Those aren't unrealistic at all. Might be what the projections would say give or take a half WAR at each spot. Right?
  20. Is it really that bad? If payroll holds and the 100 million number is right you'd have 37 million to play with.
  21. I mean the team isn't in THAT dire of a situation. Farm systems can be turned around fast. Only starter we lose is Dickey. We lose some RP. We lose Bautista, EE and I believe Smoak and Saunders. This is who we have coming back next year: C- Martin 1B- ??? 2B- Travis SS- Tulo 3B- Donaldson LF- ??? CF- Pillar RF- Pompey (?) DH- ??? That's not complete s***. We should have some payroll flexibility too with all those guys coming off the books. With some shrewd moves we could be alright. It's not pretty but not all hope is lost. s*** not all hope is lost for this season either.
