  1. We we are like Top 3 in the AL in runs scored or something? It's not as good as last year by any stretch but it's still good.
  2. Tigers down to Twins which is good. Tigers schedule is really soft here on out. They could definitely take up one of the WC spots.
  3. Lol yeah faced the minimum with 3 DP's in 3 Innings.
  4. With two regulars out that means 6-9 looks like a pile of s***. Hopefully we score plenty of runs anyway.
  5. You'd prefer to see Zeke hit?
  6. Donaldson is out with a hip issue apparently.
  7. Rotation all comes back. Osuna appears to be settling in as an elite reliever. Donaldson is a Top 10 player. Pillar, Tulo and Travis are all very very good starting players. Martin is a good player. The guys we do lose also free up more payroll money. Speaking of which the payroll should remain quite strong with us leading the AL in attendance. I think we will be pretty good.
  8. Tulo isn't a free agent though so this is all kind of pointless. Back to Bautista I think the best he can get is Beltran money (3/45) or Beltre money (I believe he was 2 for 36). I just don't see him getting a fat contract. Ortiz never did and he's been the crown jewel of DH's for the past 15 seasons. I think there is a very real chance Bautista is back with the Jays next year.
  9. We didn't gain any ground on the Sox but we did put some distance between the other WC teams as the Orioles, Yankees, Astros, and Royals are all about to lose. Tigers also in a close game with the Twins.
  10. Every single team in WC contention other than Seattle who isn't playing right now is losing so even though we aren't going to gain any ground on the Sox we will put some, if not all, of those WC teams behind us a little bit further.
  11. No Donaldson tonight.
  12. If we lost everyone I'd take a look at a couple of Orioles- Pearce to play OF/1B and Alvarez to DH.
  13. I'd offer Saunders the QO and wouldn't feel bad one bit if he took it (although missing out on the pick wouldn't be ideal). The AAV might be a bit steep but it's only one year. We will need to fill out the lineup next season and the FA class sucks.
  14. This weekend will have a playoff atmosphere too. The Dome will be rocking.
  15. To put it in subjective numbers, in football they have to be 99% sure to overturn a call. In baseball if they are 75% sure they sometimes overturn it.
  16. They should be able to recoup that in minor league ticket sales.
  17. I thought he was out but if that's the definitive angle they used I'm not so sure that it should have been overturned. You can't even see wear Saunders' foot touches the bag because the view is obstructed by Teixera.
  18. http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/70467870/v1147737983/tornyy-yanks-get-saunders-after-call-overturned/?query=definitive
  19. We've got outstanding pitching matchups against Boston and the series is at home where we have a 40-28 record (Boston is 37-31 on the road). Estrada vs. Porcello Happ vs. Rodriguez Sanchez vs. Buchholz
