  1. Somehow Boxcar has found a way to actually manage the BJMB search function which I always assumed was powered by a shirtless Hurl riding an exercise bike whenever he actually felt like it. None of us are safe.
  2. I remember this now. My concern was his arm, I didn't think it would bounce back like it has. But my bad, it wasn't a bad suggestion with him regaining arm strength. I shouldn't have been such a dick about it. And I will never forget Boxcar's betrayal.
  3. Seriously? I love Jose. I don't remember that. Maybe I had qualms about his defense at 3B at the time or maybe you suggested 2B as well? Anyway, apologies if I did. This whole Martin/Bautista 3B thing has change my views on that a little bit.
  4. He's built a weird split-persona and it's kind of odd because a play-by-play guy should generally be a man of the people. Some are bigger homers than others but almost all of them are there to give the fans a good experience while listening to the game. Wilner does this too. I don't mind his play-by-play. On the flipside, for his post-game show he's taken on the role of a heel where he invites idiot callers on and condescendingly mocks them each and every night. It's not really for me, but if he got on there and was nice to those moron callers it wouldn't be for me either. My guess is Wilner gets pretty good ratings with his style kind of like Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith do in their roles as heels. But the two personas don't really mesh well at all. His heel persona really drags down the popularity of his play by play I think. But man, most of those callers are pretty retarded.
  5. The bullpen is rounding in to form despite two of who were supposed to be our primary guys sucking big time. If Howell and/or Grilli can get it going it will only deepen it further.
  6. That's always been the highlight of his profile if I remember correctly.
  7. I'm a huge Bautista fan and a huge homer but I'd love to see him come back as a corner infielder/outfielder UT guy.
  8. A lot of these injuries happen on swings.
  9. Yeah true. He could have lasted longer. By the time Pearce gets back one or two others could be on the DL too.
  10. Don't let this injury distract you from the fact that Donaldson and Tulo are back on Friday and that we are going to make a huge run.
  11. He was probably gone after tonight's game with both Donaldson and Tulo coming back. This sucks. Good for Alford's pocketbook in the short term though.
  12. You're partially right, it's a concerning injury. We don't know how bad it is just yet and he could be a case like Rowdy Tellez or it could be something worse. It's probably not a kiss of death though. In the end it probably just really f***s this year of a development up for him and burns his service time and next year he's fine.
  13. So he collects service time and major league paychecks the whole time he's on the DL. He was probably going to go down after tonight's game right?
  14. Rowdy Tellez had that injury in 2015. He came back for the AFL and played well and played well the following season.
  15. He'll be out 4-6 weeks then he needs to rehab, perhaps longer, according to Rotoworld. But "the kiss of death" is too far. He'll come back from it.
  16. I think you are overreacting a bit.
  17. Yeah the scrubs brought the season back from the brink. We were pretty healthy to start off and we went 2-11. Somehow we've been 3 games over .500 with some of the worst lineups I've ever seen.
  18. Winnable game tomorrow and then we no longer have to watch a AAA lineup on a nightly basis.
  19. What does everyone think of Fernando Tatis Jr.? He started off terrible but he's been extremely hot as of late. I bring him up because he's another really young guy doing well in A ball, granted he's not doing as well as Vlad or Bichette.
  20. Brady Aiken is getting his tits lit by the Lugnuts tonight.
