    Is he actually borderline elite with his defense though? His statcast page says he's barely above average with his framing and he has a poor pop time.

    Yeah that has been a really nice reveal. Coming into the year we all kind of thought he'd be an average defender at best.

    Well yeah I'm not saying send him to AAA or anything but every day he continues to suck ass is another day I'm starting to think he's not going to be the 3+ WAR player we had all hoped for. If he's merely adequate (which isn't even a given) then add that to the giant heaping pile of disappointing s*** to happen this year.

    Is Margot any good? Steamer doesn't really think so. Seems to be a good defensive CF though so he'd definitely fill a need.

    I'd probably just trade him tbh unless the team plans to be really really aggressive in free agency this upcoming offseason. We have a shitload of holes and he'll be on the wrong side of 30 by the time we are any good. That said, if I were to extend him I think 5 for 80 is the absolute max I'd do. Anything more would be too much and anything less I'd be pleased with. And this would include his final year of arb next year which would be ripped up.

    That's a pretty heavy punishment but I think they pretty much nailed it. I have no clue what that guy was thinking. Usually fans are kind of excited to have that happen and also very helpful getting the player back onto the court. Just bizarre to see a guy react like that, especially an owner. I think Drake has the entire Warriors organization on tilt.

    Yeah Margot would be a good fit to go along with some other pieces. Padres have a ton of guys we could use. They need to start winning though in order to be buyers.

    The Giles-Osuna trade was a wizard move under the circumstances. The rest of those moves are simply adding pretty marginal talent for nothing and then just cutting payroll. Not a bad job to clean the slate like that but hes going to have to take a 100 loss team and make them competitive in a very short window or he won't be around to see it through. This means he'll have to be very aggressive in FA which can be dangerous.

    I think it's time for Jackson to call it a career. This is hard to watch.

    In theory that sounds good but it would mean that basically nothing goes right. If we finish 20th that means that something positive like Gurriel established himself or Thornton had a good year or something. And it will be that much harder to climb to the top from 28th than 20th.

    I don't know a ton about other teams' prospects but that suggestion seems to be pretty good to me on first glance.

    When we trade Stroman and Giles it would be nice to get an upper level CFer in return. The FA market will be s*** for that position. Jarrod Dyson is probably the best one who will be available as of now.
