  1. I'd like to request that the mods change the name of this thread to TwistedLogic's Fantasy Baseball Advice thread and that we create a separate thread for everyone else. It's too hard to sift through his spam posts about his novice redraft leagues and now he's apparently chronicling all of his transactions in book format.
  2. Swing the bat at balls outside the zone? Doesn't seem like a good strategy
  3. Tapia you skinny bitch you gotta wear that
  4. I wouldn’t mind seeing him in RF soon.
  5. Hopefully Jano mashes like he’s capable of doing.
  6. The bullpen isn't going to be Top 10 but it should be serviceable enough until the trade deadline. The bench sucks too but that shouldn't be tanking our season and that's another spot where we can get by until the trade deadline. The main problem is the offense sucks, especially with RISP and a lot of our main regulars are to blame. But that's not going to last. Our record right now is fine, it's just that we happened to lose a bunch of games lately so it seems worse than it really is. Let's split these final two games in Tampa and then we get into a softer schedule where we can rack up some wins.
  7. Interesting theory but I'm going to have to disagree here. I'd like to introduce your unbridled affinity for Greg Bird (currently slashing .143/.313/.273 for Scranton) as Exhibit A.
  8. Knocking Down The Door: May 13, 2022 by Jason Martinez May 13, 2022 https://fantasy.fangraphs.com/knocking-down-the-door-may-13-2022/ •Adrian Hernandez (22), RP, Triple-A Buffalo | Toronto Blue Jays | Prospect Rank: n/a | May 4-May 11: 4 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 0 BB, 7 K Hernandez is listed somewhere between 5’8″-5’10” and 170-190 pounds with a fastball in the low 90s and a slider that needs work. So, you’re probably wondering what the heck this guy is doing here? It’s simple. He has an incredible changeup that he throws at least fifty percent of the time and batters still can’t hit it even if they know what’s coming. Signed as a 17-year-old in November 2017, Hernandez appears to have the same bulldog mentality that several Mexican pitchers have had over the last several decades, beginning with Fernando Valenzuela. Since getting the call to Triple-A, the 22-year-old right-hander has pitched seven no-hit innings with two walks and 12 strikeouts. He won’t need to take on a significant role in a deep Blue Jays’ bullpen once he does get the call, but he could give them valuable innings as hitters struggle to adjust to his repertoire.
  9. Well Tapia's got incredible reach but I'd imagine his punches feel like muffins. Gibbons probably weighs almost 3x as much as Tapia so Gibbons would be a heavy heavy favorite.
  10. The team is in a free fall and this is the best Chucky can do? "They had a meeting...that's what we want"...??? These babies need a kick in the pants not more kumbaya sessions. I guarantee you John Gibbons would have fist fought AT LEAST one of his regulars right now.
  11. Take his ass out he can barely walk
  12. Oh s*** Springer is hurt
  13. I'm more excited for Jansen!
  14. The boys are ready to go this weekend!
  15. Is there a website that shows the stats for all of our MiLB guys across all levels?
  16. Yeah we don't have enough fireballers at all. Seems like other teams run them out there one after the other against us.
  17. SSS alert but Jakob Junis has an 8.74 ERA in 3 AAA starts and an ERA of 1.20 in 3 MLB starts (an opener was used for two of them).
  18. It doesn't make sense to have an entire bench full of subpar lefties. If a starter goes down, you can't platoon anything. It's just dealer's choice on whatever s***** left handed batter you want to put in. So that said, Tapia at least has some mildly entertaining batted ball data he's just getting BABIP'd a little bit. Zimmer looks completely overmatched (though it is only 20+ ABs). So dumping Zimmer for the likes of Carpa and Warmoth isn't the worst idea. Lopez and Samad Taylor probably could use another month but I'd consider them as well. When Biggio is back he's another lefty and we also have Collins. Might not be a bad idea to option one of them too.
  19. ChiSox picking it up. And I actually like it when they play the Orioles because they are burning through all their games against them for one, and two it's interesting to keep an eye on the series because anything short of a 2-1 or 3-1 series win is a setback. Orioles winning just one game a series is all it takes to basically consider it a series spit for the Yanks. Orioles winning 2 of 3 and it's like the Yanks are getting swept. Sort of.
  20. Lol they'll have finished up their entire slate of games against the Orioles before we even start.
