  1. I don't think we really have a comparable return but yeah Castillo would be the closest thing.
  2. It wouldn't really bother me that much if the Yankees did get him. It'd almost be like the Benitendi trade (decent trade but just marginal improvement) but on a bigger scale meaning they'd have to give up more prospect capital. They've already got a pretty good 4-man playoff rotation. Montas would be making a few starts instead of either Montgomery, Taillon or German depending on what they would decide to do.
  3. This is an interesting trade. -Brewers get a Hader replacement in Rogers before he hits FA at the end of the year. Then they get two prospects and a wild card reliever on top of it. -Padres get a year and a half of Hader. Weird to see two contenders make a trade like this but given the strengths of each team I think it makes a lot of sense for both sides.
  4. Trading Cimber makes zero sense lol. We need to acquire more good relievers in addition to the ones we already have.
  5. Although Baez almost made me crap my pants there lol
  6. He looks relatively fine to me
  7. Happ would be a pretty sweet addition. We need arms though and we also need Castillo. He's our #6 SP right now.
  8. Anytime you get the chance to lock up an oft-injured 37 year old reliever with a career 4.00 ERA you gotta do it.
  9. Kikuchi is fixed. Sole focus should be on acquiring relievers. This will be easy.
  10. Kikuchi is fixed. Start looking at relievers no starters are needed.
  11. Kikuchi dominated. Cancel all trade talks for a SP. Relievers only now.
  12. If Jays are in the hunt for rentals Rodon would be a very good addition.
  13. Looks like the walls are higher too. But then dead center has short walls. So hitting one out at dead center might be a little easier then if you are right or left of dead center a little bit. Either way, I like small quirks like this instead of the cookie cutter dimensions we had before.
  14. These are just the "outfield" upgrades. They are saying that "infield" upgrades are coming soon.
  15. Ok so they are: 1. adding more bar and patio areas, and 2. eliminating that awkward gap between the OF fence and the OF seats. In some cases this is done by bringing the seats to the wall, in other instances this is done by raising the bullpen area to meet the seats. I think these are going to be great changes. The Rockies added a bunch of bar/patio areas and it was very popular. It's a place for casual fans (aka girls and the guys who follow them) to go and drink in the summertime. It also improves the aesthetics of the stadium. At times, the stadium always kind of looked similar to Oakland Coliseum with that stupid gap. Third, it brings the OF seats closer to the action.
  16. I think Gausman should have at least been HM on that list. He's expensive but so is Mookie Betts who is signed for far longer and is ranked in the 20s.
  17. Riccardi was okay but his drafting and development stunk. He put a heavy focus on college players which lead to a ton of low ceiling prospects. He was the beneficiary of a payroll spike and he actually managed that pretty well in signing Burnett (highly controversial at the time) and trading for Glaus and Overbay, etc. But because of the lack of player development, the teams were always paper thin. In this division, we need someone better than him.
  18. Tellez is getting BABIP'd a little bit it looks like and steamer projects him for .9 WAR for the rest of the year in just 50 games. He's probably better than the board gives him credit for but not as good as casuals think. I'd rather have him than Richards and Francis and he likely would have replaced Zimmer on the roster. All told we are coming out on the losing end of this deal but it's nothing that bad.
  19. How about Khris Davis hitting .247 4 years in a row.
  20. Really friend? Of all the ******** I've been posting the past year this is what brings you out of the woodwork? lol
  21. Scenario One Blue Jays: Hey do you want to sign up here in Canada? Toronto is a nice city and it's got a bunch of nice people and even though taxes are high we will pay your more! Players: No thanks. Scenario 2 Yankees: Hey will you take a discount to play in this shithole town? Oh yeah, you'll have to shave your balls daily, convert religions and get a vasectomy too. Players: Sure!
