  1. Yeah now that you mention it they are def wearing the powder blues quite often. They are a cool alternate but the classic home whites and road greys are best.
  2. Yeah I agree. If I look at anything I think I'll just check out the SBAs for the SP.
  3. Could be Jim! I think maybe checking on the SBA for the starting pitchers is worth a look though.
  4. Cimber's velocity is softer than Romano's watery turds are right now. Only a matter of time before big league hitters starts ROCKING him. Give Romano the Pepto and get his ass out there. 4 days is PLENTY of time to recover from the shits.
  5. So in other words he's got the shits. Give the guy a bottle of Pepto to slam before the game, put a diaper on him and get him out there if there's a save opportunity. We can't let the Yankees get too far ahead of us all because our star Closer has the runs! WAKE UP BLUE JAYS
  6. You're right but Chuckles needs to learn to walk before he runs. So as long as he gets the right 9 in there and then puts at least half of them in the right order I'll give him a pass.
  7. Those are good ideas thanks. I noticed that Fangraphs does SBA/CS for Catchers and just SBA for Pitchers. Can kind of eyeball it that way but it's hard to tell unless you see some big outliers. For example, Syndergaard has given up 12 steals (the most in baseball by far) in just 30 innings. But take tonight for example, Myles Straw batting leadoff against Mahle/Stephenson. Mahle has given up 4 steals on the year and Stephenson has 13SB and 6CS. I guess that would be considered kind of neutral? I guess the other problem with trying to chase steals with Straw is that he can't hit righties but he doesn't get many steals off of lefties. Hmmm
  8. Is there a quick and dirty way to check how good a team's stolen base prevention is for any given game? I have Myles Straw on my bench so it'd be useful to know if the opposing team's battery gives up a lot of steals or not.
  9. I'd love to see this lineup with Jansen and Kirk rotating between DH and C to get them both in the lineup as many times as possible. Working Springer in at DH makes sense as well.
  10. The Mariners are so screwed tonight. Chucky filled out a good lineup card with our 9 best hitters, all of whom bat righty, going up against a lefty starter. The defensive alignment is also optimal and we've got Gausman on the hill. Jays win in a blowout tonight. CF G. Springer R SS Bo Bichette R 1B V. Guerrero R RF T. Hernandez R DH A. Kirk R LF L. Gurriel R 3B Matt Chapman R 2B S. Espinal R C Danny Jansen R
  11. No way he's this bad. He's probably pressing after signing his big contract. He's not going to have another year like 2021 again and I think everyone knew that but he should still be a good player moving forward. I guess it's possible he simply pulls a Chris Davis and just sucks now but I doubt it.
  12. Trading a superstar makes more sense than blowing up the farm system? Lol that is one hell of a take. If you are acquiring 3 years of Soto you are trying to win a championship. The star players are what you want to keep, not prospects.
  13. Berrios got 4 whiffs the entire game. He’s struggling to miss bats big time. For comparison Gilbert had 16 whiffs.
  14. MLB probably has the most conservative fan and player base. NBA very left wing. NFL probably close to the middle. Not sure on hockey but if you want to include it US fans are probably the most conservative of any sport. MLB and NBA writers are to the left of Karl Marx.
  15. I never said that meathead!
  16. Dammit Tapia, this situation is the one area where you should be alright. Just get the ball in play and don't get doubled up.
  17. The Mariners lineup sucks. Berrios gets back on track tonight.
  18. Insults aside, I don't find Spoerer to be much different than your average baseball writer in terms of his politics. And by no means am I trying to insult any liberals on the board. Most of this board is your boring, run-of-the-mill liberal but most writers are way to the left of that.
  19. Does anyone here use Pitcher List? Great website although some of his rankings don't always make sense to me.
  20. Yeah he's annoying. The K's are sexy but he just can't put it together. Playing for the anemic Pirates doesn't help either.
  21. Yeah I hate making drops. Especially this early in the season. I started off horribly in this league. I won the regular season 3 years in a row but my team got off to an 0-4 start with Semien, Bo, Franmil and others off to such slow starts. I had to make a move to get a W so I ended up dropping Kikuchi thinking no one would bother with two matchups with the Yankees coming up. I got the W that week but someone did bother and now I'm having problems rounding out the backend of my 9 man rotation.
  22. It gets better!
