  1. Well it's not quite as dire as BA's Top 100 is making it out to be. I would assume that we have several guys in the 101-200 range and we have pretty much everyone on the roster that makes up the core of our team for the next 3 years at least.
  2. Plus if we sign someone to a big league deal we have to take someone off the 40-man. Wouldn't be that big of a deal to lose Hatch or Thornton but it's not like Robbie Grossman is that much better than either of those two anyway so it's still a small consideration.
  3. Well Pollack, Duvall, etc. got more playing time and significant chunks of change with their respective new teams. We couldn't offer the former so it didn't make sense to spend the latter. Whoever we sign will be battling it out with Whit Merrifield, Espinal, Biggio and others for ABs. We don't even have DH opportunities for whoever we sign. They'll basically be a 5th OFer. Otto Lopez could handle that role just fine and he's also pretty fast and can play the infield too. Sounds like a good enough 5th OFer to me. And injuries will of course happen, but that's when someone like Lukes can come into play. Or Barger, Capra, etc.
  4. I'm not sure we need a right handed hitting OF. A guy like Grossman isn't really that much better better than our in house options.
  5. Cubs continue to stockpile mediocre talent
  6. Wow! The Sheriff just got wrecked with a veto.
  7. Chris Carpenter is a depressing example. Top prospect who struggled with injuries and ineffectiveness with Toronto. We released him and he goes on to win a Cy Young and make 3 All-Star teams with the Cardinals.
  8. Probably couldn't endure another spring training of drunk Florida shenanigans from Pete Walker.
  9. These cases are often tough sledding for the players but Bo has a decent argument. He might be a top 10 SS all-time for someone his age and his comparables are right there. I think he might have shot in arbitration but he aimed slightly too high with his number.
  10. I don't think I could come up with a more mediocre offseason if I tried. They've made a ton of moves and spent a lot of money but I'm not sure any of those guys are actually any good.
  11. The Jays have made him literally cry before. Dude is emotionally stunted crybaby and has meltdowns all the time.
  12. I saw this after my post about dating apps. Didn't want you to think the two were related lol. I knew you were more of a rocker type of guy and that makes sense. It's def more in now, not necessarily among MLB players though and he does seem crazy when he's warming up and on the mound. I do like him though he's one of my favorite players.
  13. Oh I believe it, dating apps these days are filled with hordes of jezebel women who have septum piercings and tats everywhere. YUCK.
  14. I don't like the nose ring but I do like the psychotic serial killer vibes that our closer puts off. That guys is nuts you can just tell and it's a perfect mentality for a closer.
  15. Our closer is a psychopath
  16. I follow this guy’s routine every day I get off work and on most weekend mornings as well. My before bed routine is pretty similar and I have zero problems falling asleep at night so PM me if you want it.
  17. Is he actually fatter? I can't tell for sure. He just always looks pretty fat to me whether he's supposedly lost or put on weight.
  18. Biggio's xBA and xSLG through the years: 2019: .239/.424 *Manfred deadens the ball* 2020: .214/.343 2021: .207/.331 2022: .193/319 (LOL) This is the guy you like?
  19. Oh ok so this is all just a big disagreement over my style? Well I'm sorry but maybe just focus on the substance? You'd probably learn a lot my friend.
  20. Are we really going to do this again? After the humiliation you all suffered over stanning Bellinger and his .260 OBP? Lol Ok if you guys want to challenge The Sheriff yet AGAIN let's do it. Biggio's xBA and xSLG through the years: 2019: .239/.424 *Manfred deadens the ball* 2020: .214/.343 2021: .207/.331 2022: .193/319 (LOL) Yes, he can still take a walk but that's starting to drop as well as pitchers realize they have nothing to fear. And despite the walks dropping, his K's keep going up too. His fangraphs page still looks ok but his statcast page is a goddamn disaster. But on top of it, the Jays are basically confirming that he sucks by their choices. We were desperate for left handed bats but Biggio still couldn't get much run and then we went out and acquired a bunch of left handed bats this offseason because Biggio himself presumably isn't good enough to be counted on. If Biggio was any good, they wouldn't have traded for Merrifield. Nor would they have insisted on Tilapia playing over Biggio at every opportunity. And it's not like Espinal is so amazing that he can't sit once in a while for a lefty bat but Biggio couldn't beat him out for any PT either. Biggio is ass and you should all admit it.
  21. So you'd choose the bus?
  22. Well to clarify it did have some consequences. It lead to several failed marriages and I did a few short term stints in the clink. I was also disbarred as an attorney. I suppose my relationships with my children could have been better. And I guess I have had some ill health effects like a couple of heart attacks. But other than that it wasn't that bad really. Much better than being hit and killed by a bus.
  23. I'm sure the local Dunedin bars can't wait for Pete Walker to be back in town. Apparently his bar tabs are legendary and he's also a good tipper from what I hear.
  24. I was addicted to a whole host of s*** throughout the 80s and 90s including crack and none of it was that bad tbh. I'd choose the crack.
  25. Well he was actually good when we had a live ball. But he looks like a 15 year old high school player and he has the strength to match it so when they deadened the ball his 330 foot homers turned into 300 foot outs. I've been trying to tell you all this for years but all I get in return is "quit trolling" or "wow you've really changed Term." I've really been pissing Deadpool off a lot lately and I don't want to push his buttons more than I already have so I'm not going to post the Gronk football spike .gif but I think it would be totally justified for being right yet again just like I was about Cody Bellinger and literally hundreds of other times as well.
